Always thinking about Philly
I think there could maybe be the baseline of something here but the specifics make it a no for Philly:
-Rosen is 100% the wrong sort of prospect to go back to Philly
-Philly can't justify moving their only 2 left wingers

Torts would probably rather keep him on the wing if he is bad defensively.</div></div>
He's not bad defensively. He sucks in the dot. That's like the only reason. It's something Carolina fans have been wanting since he was drafted. He's scoring 70 points on the wing, move him down the middle.

What type of youngish potential 1C could they get
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>What do you think Min would want for him in return.</div></div>
I'm not sure to be honest - a pick doesn't make much sense to me, but if that's what they want, I'd suspect it's something around his same draft position (9th). Maybe PIT deals 9th or 10th.
I don't personally see why they would trade him, but our beat reporters have been speculating on it lately. It wouldn't shock me if they moved him.

Reinhart, Lindholm…both can play center but would be high AAV.
A true 1C really only comes via draft

Let me see, you paid 1st (12th ovr) + 2 2nds year ago for Chychrun who had 2 years left with reasonable cap hit.
And you think Philly would pay 2 1sts (this year gonna be in range 14-20) + useful roster player (worth ~ 3rd right now) for Chychrun with one year left?
Nope, not gonna happen.

No, Flyers will not retain 6 years on their captain and trade him + their best player (assistant captain who they want to extend) for Copp, Wallinder + 1st.
They most likely get better return for Konecny only, if they can't extend him.
If I get it right, those other pieces are for taking Chiarot. They just don't have any use for LD unless talking about some elite player. They already have York, Seeler and Zamula who are better/better contracts than Chiarot + LHD Sanheim playing on right side.

Philly is a popular FA destination hypothetical
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>Flyers don't need to dump Petersen because they won't be signing 30 year old UFA's looking for big contracts. Also they can just move Ellis to LTIR to get 6mil in extra cap space.</div></div>
Fair enough if Philly decides to ignore the FA market, again this is hypothetical
But, I checked if they sign 2 guys to deals in the 7.5mil range than they'll need to do more than just LTIR Ellis

That definitely makes a big difference for sure =) That would be a solid move I stand corrected. Wasn't aware Nashville retained 50% already as I said that would be a big difference for sure appologies =)

he gets at least a third at the deadline, maybe more if multiple teams are in on him as reports say there is. not a 5th and a guy with 4th line potential

How dangerous can this team be
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habsfan00</b></div><div>They are 3rd in the division, why wouldn't they buy</div></div>
Because the front office made a plan to rebuild and regardless of the situation they are sticking to that plan. The GM, Head coach and president have all publicly stated that they will be sellers at the deadline. They might consider adding a young controllable player in the right deal but that feels like an offseason move.

lol dude what is this- Atkinson will never get a 1st, even retained, Tippett just signed an 8x6.1, he’s not going anywhere, and then trading TK for a late 1st and late 2nd and Foegele? Nuts

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>I would argue that trade would slow down their rebuild because they would lose York and their defense is what has brought them their success so far.
It would make more sense for them to just sign Buch as an UFA if he decides to go that route if they wanted to get Michkov a russian mentor.</div></div>
Just highly doubt Buch makes it to FA. Either signs an extension here in STL or whomever he gets traded to signs him. But I see your point with York and the defense.
Overall thought it was an interesting concept, albeit unlikely

Michkov won't come over for another 2 years and by then Buch could have gone to UFA if he doesn't want to stick around</div></div>
This completely! And the discussion for TK is funny. He is younger, currently has 10 more pts than Buch and just got an "A". Philly isn't buying at the deadline.

Yes trading a 1st round pick for a soon to be 30 year old winger really fits with the Flyers rebuilding plans. Philly absolutely declines.

Most likely.....Philly hangs up the phone after telling Brad to pound sand. TK isn't getting traded, he was just given an A. When was the last time a player was given a letter and traded in less than a month?
Regardless that offer wouldn't get TK, those prospects aren't great and Philly isn't interested in Robertson. That doesn't even account for the fact that you want us to throw in Walker and Seeler too just for fun.

Flyers should focus on making the playoffs instead of on making trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>Even if they would end up missing the playoffs it wouldn't matter.
They are still in a rebuild and getting a bit higher pick won't hurt them.</div></div>
This completely.....the Flyers for years have needed a true rebuild. This front office promised that when they took over that they would actually rebuild. Just because this team is overachieving doesn't mean they should change course. Now this situation does change things a little, it means Philly can stand pat and hold out for the price they want.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>Honestly I gotta disagree. They are nowhere near cupcontenders and would be lucky to get to the second round. It's wiser to just sell guys like Seeler, Walker and Laughton. They would still have good chances of making the playoffs because rest of the metro is playing so badly.</div></div>
As long as selling them doesn't cost you a spot in the playoffs, then sure.
