Agree. Probably comes with top 3 protection but nothing more (protection).
Then add on at least a bona-fide prospect.
And some smaller pieces depending on the prospect.
Do you think sharks take a collection of picks and a roster player back?
2023 1st top 3 protected
2024 1st top 3 protected
And then a roster player?

Minnesota
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>C21</b></div><div>Olofsson's NHL career has been that of a one-way, complimentary PP piece. He'd be a nice complement but he isn't necessary, nor his he pushing this team over the top or worth this much. Especially with how much more valuable Middleton is to Minnesota than he is on the trade market
And for further reasoning as to why Minnesota would not do this, please look at Minnesota's LHW core and prospect pool. Olofsson is a cool player to have on your team, but he's extremely surplus to requirements in the grand scheme</div></div>
Agree with mostly everything your saying but the narrative of olofsson being simply PP piece is very outdated. He is a scorer both at 5v5 and PP.
He is subpar defensively and is not a play driver. But he does produce at 5v5.
That is all carry on

I think you are grossly mistaken. The Roverston trade needs a little work but certainly in the ball park.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tintin</b></div><div>Disagree, I love Dahlin but Sabres would have to add substantially here.
Also, didn't realize Miller was just signed by the Stars (and that he spent the previous three season in Buffalo lmao).</div></div>
Mm I don't know. Your argument earlier was JRob was an emerging top 10 winger entering his prime. I would argue Dahlin is an emerging top 10 Dman entering his prime.
I think the frame work for the trade is right there young elite offensive guy for young elite defensive guy.
It breaks down tho because sabres can only add to their talent right now. They are not in a position to be subtracting.
So in order to make a trade to get a JRob it would have to be for future pieces.
On the other side, I don't think Dallas is in a position to be offloading talent without direct replacements.
So I don't think this trade is really ever going to happen unless Dallas decides to rebuild

Jason Robertson
Don't think they would accept a 1st with protections.
I don't know if this gets it done either.
I think buffalo has a bevvy of good prospects but a trade to get JRob would take some of our great/excellent prospects.
Imo I would rather develop Quinn peterka savoie power, than to trade for an established guy like JRob.
Mainly due to the strength of the Atlantic. Does Jrob make buffalo a top 4 team ehhh probably not on paper.
But it would be an exciting swing to take, I certainly wouldn't mind it.
But it would probably be 2023 1st and Quinn

Sabres fans HELP
1. I think they finish 4-7 in the Atlantic.
2. PP1 will probably look like
Cozens
Thompson Tuch. Olofsson
Dahlin
But skinner and Quinn might sneak in there, or switch mitts and tuch if they wanted a more balanced PP lines
3. I think Dahlin puts Norris type numbers up. Cozens has a big jump. And dark horse pick Mittelstadt makes a surprise jump if he stays healthy.
4. Based off of expectations I think Power might be underwhelming to many, but has an overall solid year.
5. Comrie 40-50 Anderson 20 UPL 10-20

Zero chance of Toews landing a 1st round pick, If you noticed he's been sucking quite a bit here lately. Best pick might be a 2nd but no way he's returning no 1st round pick.</div></div>
I'll bet you that buffalo finishes better than 7th.
Kane would waive if they are in the hunt. But buffalo will not spend high assets

I'm sorry but I disagree with almost everything you said.
Severson is a puck moving dman. Buffalo doesn't need that samuelsson is more valuable to the organization than severson.
And Garland isnt boosting this offense, no more so than peterka or Quinn would.
Losing samuelsson and Rosen in a trade to get Garland is Ludacris

Playoff Push
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Luguber</b></div><div>Would you be so kind to give a comparable to this situation? Where a team trades away their starting goalie, who's arguably still a top 10 goalie in his prime, with 2 years left on his contract.
And the team in question doesn't have another really good goalie prospect waiting for his shot, nor do they acquire a replacement goalie in the trade.</div></div>
Answering a question with a question.
Taking one comparable and forcing it into a finer detailed situation.
Your idea is fine. But there has never ever been a goaltender traded for that much, in any scenario.
Does that mean it would never happen ... idk. Sure there are some variables on WPG to be considered. But to say that the trade is ridiculously under priced is wild. When it would be the biggest trade for a goalie ever.
