Not sure of the value, but very interesting! Definitely an overall upgrade adding Novak.

On the right path, but Zadorov doesn't hold much interest for NSH. They're already deep down the left side.
Kuzmenko would probably be the more attractive piece.

Zadorov holds no value to nashville so he would need to be flipped elsewhere... again.

Devils Forward Depth Needed - Siegenthaler

Yeah, but also you didn't account for the fact Meier and Palat just came back from injuries. Also, McLeod is a center, so don't really help the need for NJD

Ottawa Retool Move - Tarasenko
Ottawa rejects. Last thing they need is a forward who can’t defend .
We’ll take a pick only

I just remember Van actively trying to move Garland. But Im assuming that was before the season really started.

I feel like Dube is really down this year. He's a regular fourth liner so the price could be a mid pick if available.

It's gotta pretty close, cap wise, to add Dube without Kuz going the other way? Two trades with Van and Calgary in one year would be different haha

Would that work?

Remove Kuzmenko and it’s a fair deal for both sides, in my opinion.

I think the pick would have to be higher, I was thinking a third. But if the Preds would rather get a good prospect than a higher pick for Novak, Raty is definitely someone they'd want.

AVS Deal - Byram
I think Avs would pass. With the season Hronek is having and his arb rights he could get a fortune next season which the Avs won't be able to afford. Also with Girard in player assistance it leaves the left side a bit weak behind Toews
VAN is also probably better off with Hronek anyway, he makes a great pair with Hughes

Carolina thoughts - Necas
I don’t think the Canucks really have anything that would interest the Canes all that much into moving Necas. I mean, he wasn’t available for guys like Laine, Eichel or Nylander, but he was available for M. Tkachuk. I mean, for the Canucks, I would expect that EP40 is likely the only player on the roster in which the Canes would be comfortable moving Necas for, and the Canucks aren’t going to do that, and understandably so.
Personally, I think the Canes might have a bit of skepticism as to Kuzmenko’s sustainability, to the point where they are more willing to stick with what they already know works rather than risk changing things for the worse.

WSH thoughts - Alexeyev
I am not really interested in Beauvillier - Caps already have too many middle 6 wingers.
Would rather use AA in a package for someone better, or keep him as he's on a cheap contract.

WSH thoughts - Alexeyev
I'd be willing to move on from Alexeyev, but Beauvillier isn't really what the Caps need. Neither is Garland imo. The emergence of McMichael, Protas, and Malenstyn has significantly lessened the need for a depth forward, at least for now. Rather focus on going after a high end forward, whether that be by trade or free agency

Price for Wright
I will preface this with mentioning that the odds Seattle trades Wright are basically zero. Regardless of how this season goes, they're clearly planning for him to be a big part of their team for years to come.
However, in a hypothetical Wright trade situation, I can really only see three scenarios where such a transaction would make sense for the Kraken:
1. Wright is a key piece in a package for a star - For Vancouver this would mean Wright would be one of several pieces going to the Canucks in exchange for someone like Pettersson or Hughes. Given their chosen franchise trajectory and start to the season, I doubt this would be palatable to Canucks management.
2. Wright is traded for a similar prospect/young-NHLer at a different position of need - This one would be difficult for the Canucks to pull off as their prospect pool really doesn't have anyone of Wright's caliber right now. Wallinder probably comes the closest, but it would take another premium piece or two on top of him to even out the value disparity, and even then I'm not sure the Kraken bite.
3. Someone makes an insane overpayment offer for Wright that the Kraken cannot refuse. I don't know what this would specifically look like from the Canucks' point of view, but I doubt their fans would be too pleased with this scenario should it occur.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rsamuelson</b></div><div>Fair! I think Hertls value has fallen a ton, I think teams that are more “win now” than the Canucks would have more interest in him than Vancouver would.</div></div>
Hert is 29 not 35! You guys look like your window is starting to open up and 3-5 year window would fit with Hertl! And given legit team to play with I would expect 30+ goals 65+ points. For 3 mil over garland for the next 3 years seems like a good deal!
But I’m not pushing just thinking out loud.

You can add a 2nd if not first round pick to Garland if you think the Hawks want him and will be sending a 3rd for him. If the Hawks take Garland, it will be as at the very best a slightly negative value and almost certainly not a positive one where you get even a 3rd back. Hawks are not trying to be competitve this season (look at their roster), have an overabundance of forwards as is, are not investing 5 million for 3 years they are likely to not be competing for almost all of, adding a diminutive wing when they already have Bedard, Reichel, Nazar, Moore penciled into the top 6/9 over the last couple of year of Gralnads deal. I am not suggesting Garland should not be worth a 3rd to someone (if they had cap space), he simply is not to the Hawks with where they are at in rebuilding.
