The answer is... Not from the bench.

New Features
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Russell_C</b></div><div>What type of new features would you guys like to see on Capfriendly?
I have an idea for AGMs. It would be nice to look up a player, UFA or otherwise, and see how other people have valued him in previous AGMs. For instance, you type in Parayko and see all of the trades that he was involved in, similarly to how you can look up specific team AGMs. Or Holtby, you could see how much other fans have signed him as a UFA and in doing so people can have a better understanding of the overall consensus on the site.
And editing trades without having to revert them wouldn't end the world.
What features do you think would be neat? Maybe someone at Caofriendly sees this and gets inspired.
****** NO hate to anyone at Capfriendly, just want to see what others think ******</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Yojimbo</b></div><div>How about an AHC section, Armchair Head Coach. If there are no trades or signings, therefore no actual GM moves, it goes to an Armchair Head Coach page. Mostly for lineups during the season.</div></div>
<a href="/users/Banks" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Banks</a> the AHC and editing trades are two things that would make a lot of sense. Maybe you could look into them thanks. Also what about being able to flip teams on an ACGM so that the creator could make sure the cap works and lines make sense. I think that would make for less bad ACGMs due to not filling needs/ cap situation. Thanks for everything

Would be cool if you could do an expansion draft for Seattle, then have the option of "exporting" (for lack of a better word) that team you drafted to an AGM, where you could make trades and such. That may be too complicated to ask for, but my mom always said "It never hurts to ask."

You must be a 1st or 2nd OA pick to play center on this team
the 1st/2nd overall thing is misleading. sure its true all their C's are former top 2 picks, but Spezza and Thornton are at the end of their career. sure they can contribute, but its more of just a fun fact and less an indication of performance

Balanced line challenge
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Russell_C</b></div><div>Nice job! I do see Kuch and Point on the same line though. Do you think if they were separated that would create a more balanced 4 lines?</div></div>
I think they play so well together and they have enough other good players that it's best to keep them together even in this challenge. The 2nd line has Stamkos and Palat. The 3rd line is the same one that was so good in the playoffs. The 4th line on this team would be the 2nd line on most teams.

Is there a team with better center depth
Pens have SId and Geno. #1 and #2 overall picks and Janko a 1st round 21st overall pick and Blueger a 2nd round pick. And if u want to say McCann, who was our 3 line C last year, is a former 1st rounder too. But McCann is gonna stick on the wing this year. Sully and JR want him to just concentrate on putting the puck in the net on offense. What he’s good at. He has a great shot!! Not be a play-maker for his line. So instead of his back to back 35 point seasons. This year he’ll score his 20 goals plus.
But that’s your point right?? Who’s Centers are high draft picks?? 3 #1 pick and #2 overall is tough to beat though!! Lol.

Just going off roster guys listed as Cs:
Toronto - Matthews, Tavares, Kerfoot, Thornton, Spezza
Edmonton - McDavid, Draisaitl, Nugent-Hopkins, Turris, Ennis, Khaira, Yamamoto, Quine, Griffith
Oilers have better depth by the definition.
Let's look at Tampa and Pittsburgh too:
Tampa - Point, Stamkos, Cirelli, Johnson, Coleman, Gourde, Paquette, Stephens
Pittsburgh - Crosby, Malkin, McCann, Jankowski, Rodrigues, Blueger, Lafferty
Toronto has good centres but aren't necessarily deep in the position. Tampa and Edmonton look deeper and Pittsburgh just drops off a cliff after Crosby and Malkin.

If Turris rebounds even slightly, the Oilers have a genuine luxury down the middle. I'd love to see McDavid and Draisaitl take steps forward on their defensive games.

Overall selections don’t really matter - Oilers and Tampa come to the top of my head (assuming Tampa is running Point - Cirelli/ Stamkos - Coleman) as some of the deepest centres but the leafs aren’t far off I guess and probably above Tampa

I might even take it one further and say only the top 3 D are set. It's Holl's job to lose, but someone like Lehtonen or Dermott or even Bogo could find a way to squeeze him out of it. Bogo unlikely but you get what I mean

3rd line (maybe) but from reports looks like (Kerfoot-Thorton-Vesey)
4th line (also maybe) but looks like we will see (spezza is the center and simmonds on RW)

def 1st and 2nd yes. 3rd and 4th line is completely up in the air lol but I would be fine with what you suggested.
Lehtonen I think plays on the left side on the bottom pair and then either Dermott or Bogosian get the bottom pairing RHD spot

Switch Lehtonen and Dermott. Dubas' already said Dermott will start on RD.
Wouldn't be surprised if the bottom 6 ended up like that but training camp will be about who wins the early spots, and the first 10 games will be really important for some of the guys on LTIR.
Additionally, I think they'll squeeze in another bottom 6 winger so Thornton and Spezza don't play every night. Probably what Boyd will be for.

Pretty sure Sandin's contract has already taken effect. Once you burn the first year, that's that. Whether he plays in the NHL or not his contract will progress towards RFA status.

As long as you mean "Any Team," fine -- that's what Kerfoot is worth; just not to the Ducks. We have more than enough mid-6 left-handed forwards.

This is certainly an improvement on last year's disappointing squad. The defense, in particular, is good.
