Chicago trade is fair.

He probably doesn't get moved until free agency opens if he does get moved. Perhaps he's traded for his replacement, maybe one of your middle 6 players? ;)
Why are other teams fan bases against Kerfoot? I get why Leafs fans want him gone-so they can acquire someone more impactful like a top 6 player or more physical for those who are fixated on grit.

Cap space
I don't see AZ doing that. I never understood why TOR backloads any contract at all. They should be front loading all their contracts just so that it's easier to potentially move those guys to budget conscious teams. Mrazek's salary next year is more than you're willing to pay Campbell.
You have a lot of players taking discounts to help out TOR. I'm not so sure guys like Mikheyev and Campbell are going to willing to do that. They haven't made any serious money yet. They might want to ensure their future life security before taking discounts. Maybe Gio will because he wasn't won anything yet in his career and he's made his money and he's from Toronto.

First line is largely pass first guy's. Need somebody on that line that can shoot the puck (Stammer, Point maybe??)
Also coming from an Oilers fan, Zach Hyman is a very good player. But he is nowhere near ever playing on the olympic team, he can't skate well enough to keep up with the best of the best.
A different star who has really high hockey IQ could adapt their role and be a fourth line forechecker and play driver. (Couture, Barzal, Cirelli etc...)

A lot of moving parts. The ongoing lawsuit with the Trinity Group over the LeBreton disaster, reports of four separate groups interested in purchasing the team and salvaging a Downtown arena plan at LeBreton, all while the Sens head into arguably their most important offseason in the rebuild so far.

I don`t think the HABS have a Cap space problem going into next year. We traded away $12.3M for picks and prospects. We have plenty of space. It will depend on what CAP space is left after UFA signings this summer. I don`t believe there will be many players interested in playing for a losing team

HABS would not do that trade during the off season they would wait until the next TDL to get a bigger return.
If Price remains on LTIR into next year the HABS will sign an extension with Allen. Too early to tell

Crouse, from what I seen from the TDL everyone is overpaying for players, like TBL with Hagel, and BOS with Lindholm, and the contract makes sense 4x5.
Schenn is a cheap RHD which automatically gets more value, and Muzzin who has a big contract with term still on it. Muzzin isn't the same player he was and he still could give us some value back.</div></div>
Staal is retired, he only played those few AHL games for the olympics, the game has passed him by
Just because everyone else is overpaying doesnt mean you have to, or at least Dubas hasnt been willing to do that. Especially with prospects
Muzzin is still a good player, I dont think it is fair to judge him based on this season. He would still have more value than Luke Schenn even at his term of 2 seasons

I don't think the Canucks are moving Miller, with that said, I think it's close to fair value, you're overpaying on the Columbus deal. Knowing Canuck fans they'll ask for more than.

How much will Bunting cost
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>stephane_robidas</b></div><div>any chance he signs a long-term deal. 3.5aav x 8 years?
leafs get a good salary deal, Bunting has security.</div></div>
I hope the leafs don't offer him 8 years. 8 Year deals are risky, even for all star players because a sudden injury or change of line mates can make a really big difference. I've been happily surprised by how effective Bunting has been with M&M but there's no guarantee he'll produce in the later years. Best scenario I could see is maybe $4mx5 years, but that would be him leaving money on the table (assuming he keeps up with this point pace of course). Bunting would have to choose to stay because he wants to play with the talent and Dubas gives him 5 years for some security. Even then I think there would be considerable risk on the Leafs side. Although I'd be happy if he continues to grow into marchand level skill and I completely eat my words.
