You might want to check your reality there, it's not exactly the most desired place to be. That's why both BOB and Panarin darted the hell out of there when they could and the team fell apart when they left.
Maybe come down from the pedestal.
No one is speculating anything here. Most CBJ fans are honest about things, like the fact Laine is not going to resign there. I'm sure there is probably a 90%+ agreement on that in CBJ fans, It wouldn't be that way if people though he was happy there and wanted to play there.</div></div>
Bob was never offered a contract. No way the jackets would’ve offered him 10 million a year lol. Panarins girlfriend wanted to live in NYC to continue her modeling career. You’re a fan of the Pens lol. Have you been to Pittsburgh? Last place that should be talking about how bad another city is lol.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Indy</b></div><div>Also hating your team isn't a condition to get into the player assistance program. Its based on mental and behavior health issues (ie substance abuse) and required union physicians to accept the claim. Remember Texier wanted to come back last season but the union said no. If Laine was truly unhappy then the two parties would meet for a mutual termination agreement but obviously that's not the case.</div></div>
Yeah that was my point. That clown was suggesting he went into the program cause he hates living in Columbus. I’m not even going to speculate why laine is in the program but that’s for sure not the reason. He’s never asked to be traded either.

Rossi Laine and Pesce
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>brady_t12</b></div><div>Rossi is gonna cost Lapierre or McMichael plus. Would rather not make that move in that case. Columbus's asking price for Laine is going to be higher than what anyone would be willing to or should pay for him. They wouldn't take this deal but I personally wouldn't feel comfortable watching the caps give up more. It's probably better to go after a guy like Reinhart, Duchene, Guentzel, etc. in free agency than spend the assets for a question mark. I like the Pesce add.</div></div>
That’s a fair assessment from a non-jackets fan of laine. Jackets aren’t going to sell that low on him but no team will pay what he’s worth when healthy. Jackets don’t need the cap so are better off hoping he can stay healthy and have a rebound season and get more value for him next offseason or next trade deadline

Laine has way more value to that to Columbus. Especially with retention for 2 years. That’s an easy pass

You are over here just rambling at this point. Oh yeah player said such and such so it must be true.......
Like it's not just standard answer.
Do you realize how ridiculous you sound? If a guy was happy on a team, he'd have made it back. But he's not. He's on a rebuilding team, in the middle of nowhere, in a very undesirable place.
Get over that.
That just isn't where he wants to be.
If he was actually happy where he was, like many players who went through loss before him, he'd have been back on the ice doing what they loved.
But he clearly isn't loving it there.</div></div>
Middle of nowhere? Undesirable place? What are you talking about? Clearly you’ve never been to Columbus lol. You add nothing of value and just constantly speculate and wildly overvalue your own players. Have a nice day

FFS, he's on the players assistance program....... It's not because he's happy in CBJ.</div></div>
Oh yeah wow you must be friends with him if you know so much inside info on him. I’m sure him being in the players assistance program has nothing to do with his dad passing away recently. It’s definitely more likely he went into the program because he hates Columbus lol. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds

I’d rather just keep Kent Johnson. He’s younger, cheaper, and has more team control. He produces at a similar rate to zegras and they both have similar play styles. Idk why either team would make the swap

He’s gone out of his way to say he likes it better in Columbus than Winnipeg. But I’m sure you are right even though you have zero evidence to support your claim. Go back to posts saying how rakell is the best winger in the league

No need to trade kuraly or Tex yet. Dumais definitely needs time in the AHL and brindley too probably. If they ship off bean they likely need to sign at least one LD since provorov is likely gone by the deadline

I mean this proposal is just as bad if not worse than what leafs fans propose and that’s coming from a jackets fan who has seen 100+ marner trade proposals on here where leafs are ripping off the jackets for marner

I have a hard time seeing the jackets trading the pick if levshunov or demidov is there. Hard to gauge how they view lindstrom. Not sure the jackets are interested in more picks as they already have one of the deepest prospect pools in the league if not the deepest. Maybe if they want to use the picks to make roster upgrades

trading some RFAs
I’m not sure if Tampa bites on that trade but I like it. I’d trade provorov for picks instead of adding Necas. I don’t think the jackets can afford him long term. This also allows them to draft silayev who should be NHL ready when dillons contract runs out

Kings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CaseyFlyman</b></div><div>We have zero reason to trade him unless we're getting a top-line winger return, which I think this would be. Potentially a 1st, plus two B+/A-, middle-6-floor prospects? If Columbus decided to move him, that's not a bad return.
If anything the jackets should be trying to make a trade like this to package quantity to get higher quality top 6 forwards
The replacements would be internal: Gaudreau and Marchenko are top-6 locks. Chinakhov, Johnson, and Brindley are top-6 capable. Nylander, Texier, and potentially even Beck, Mesar, and Dumais could all push for top-6 spots by the end of the year. There's lots of decent options if we're up for a different look.</div></div>
It’s fair value wise but the jackets don’t need anymore above average prospects they need top 6 potential prospects. Beck, mesar, dumais should be nowhere near the top 6. Only way I make this trade is if they flip these assets for another top line winger or sign one like Jake Guentzel (not happening)

I don't think Columbus trades him without getting a heavily-conditioned 1st back, to insulate against him leaving town and potentially going off.</div></div>
They have zero reason to trade him at all. They need top 6 wingers so getting rid of him makes no sense unless they have a top line forward replacement lined up

It depends if the jackets try to keep Ehlers long term. He’s a good vet option at wing but not sure what his next contract looks like. If he wants a raise I think the jackets won’t have interest. Personally I’m not sure if they want to commit more money to wingers. I’d also rather keep texier.

Getting Zegras for 5th overall
I would not even consider this if I was the ducks. Giving up a first and high 2nd is too much on top of zegras. I don’t think zegras is worth 5OA straight up but I also don’t think it’s worth giving him up along with basically two firsts

Options to move Graves IMO
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CaseyFlyman</b></div><div>Yeah I don't think anyone is paying a 2nd for him with that contract, that seems crazy to me too.
FWIW, I think Pittsburgh should be looking at a full rebuild...but the CBJ fan in me hopes they continue mortgaging the future for another couple of years. :)
CBJ just have an abundance of NHL-level-but-not-solid-top-4 D-men, on both sides (Gudbranson, Boqvist, Bean, Jiricek for now, Mateychuk for now, Blankenburg, and potentially Svozil). That's not including Werenski, Severson, or Provorov, who at least deserve to be in the top-4. Adding more without others going the other way just isn't super appealing.
Adding Graves wouldn't be awful, but it is a lateral move when we should be looking to leverage our younger depth for upgrades instead.</div></div>
I think Graves is a borderline cap dump if Pitt tries to get rid of him now. Certainly not worth a 2nd.
