TDL Sale
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NYR1983</b></div><div>Copp is their best faceoff guy and would be ours too. Having him winning 55% of 5v5 faceoffs could have the 2nd line at a whole new scoring level. Haven’t looked at term and I know Schneider is said to be “untouchable”. Would be interesting to see if him and Strome have different strong sides. I don’t have access to those analytics but if the 2nd line could be even more efficient at possession, I think it’s a massive upgrade</div></div>
It’s a great deal for the rangers. Heinola and Schneider have very very similar values. Copp is a pending UFA but would 100% sign a deal in NY, he wants to play in the US. Likely around 4.25 million for 4 years.
Copp is a Swiss Army knife, plays PP, PK, all situations 5on5. He was on pace for 58 pts last year, and on pace for 54 this year. He’s a solid player.

Moving Some Pieces
I think in Canucksland we overvalue Boeser but I think VAN has to say no to this deal. I think the deal would have to be Copp, Appleton, DeMelo and a high draft pick for VAN to consider it. That deal at least helps replace a winger spot they need to fill due to Boeser's absence, 3rd line C and another RHD

Heh. And no chance the Blues send Parayko to a division rival for another LD prospect (even if they'd love to grab Copp).

Both of these trades are no brainers from a Jets perspective<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>SRM Marginally. But Marner likes to put up points in the early games that don't matter and disappears when the going gets tough.</div></div>
This sounds like.... Kyle Connor

Deadline
Would absolutely love Klingberg (John not Carl lol) on the Jets, but boy would it be hard to part with Heinola in ANY trade. Value isn't too far off in my opinion but if I had to choose I would probably pass simply due to Heinola's potential. Nice trade though!

Connor Out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arafay</b></div><div>If that’s what you think then the jets decline. They probably don’t even move Connor tbh. Also Connor would instantly be your best winger so there’s that. Connor is a pt/gm player signed to a great contract and he’s only getting better. A 100 pt season or 2 isn’t out of reach for him. Whereas for pulock, a 50 pt season would be his peak. I know he’s very good in his own end but isles fans seriously overrate him if they think he’s better than Connor lol.</div></div>
I mean yes Kyle is very good but look at the value of having good defensive players is bringing the Islanders. They're on the verge of going to the conference finals. Unfortunately I do think that one of Ehlers/Connor/Laine is going to have to go at some point. We need to fill quite a few other holes and they will be able to net great returns. My pick out of those three is Connor because I already think he peaked and isn't as impactful overall as the other two. Pulock was probably close to a top 10 dman in the league in the overall impact he has brought to the Islanders this year.

Devils Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>So, you're proposing trading Connor for a 3C that may or may not be better than anything we have? How does downgrading our overall talent level as this trade does, make the Jets better now?</div></div>
The real meat is the pick in that trade. If that’s Rossi or Perfetti. Both of those guys are legit first line prosepects. Rossi is already a complete player who plays a postion of need. Severeson is an upgrade on every RD we had this year and Zacha would be a solid 3C. I think this is a pretty easy yes

This team is not in win now mode. We have way to many holes and it starts behind the bench. Maybe even the press box.

I completely understand, would love to bring Copp back home and let him try the 2C spot in Detroit and then move him down to 3C when someone is ready for that spot.

Lowry is by no means useless, but Perreault is a cap dump. Maybe a third or fourth rounder

I like the idea of getting strome for a second line centre but your giving a little to much. Strome isn't much better than Jack and he plays with Kane to
Roslovic + second and 4th should be fine
But this is still a good package

I think Markstrom might start over Lundqvist.. coming from a Lundqvist worshiping Rangers fan. Although he might be fine with a stacked defense in front of him for the first time in 5 years. Also I'd take Hjalmarsson over Edler.
