Top 15 at each position
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>deys3232</b></div><div>Probably top 15. Hes close to Heiskanen. He still has the potential to be a future Norris winner, I just dont know if he will win anything in Buffalo</div></div>
It’s interesting Heskianen and Dahlin were both better in their rookie year.

Crosby was a beast in 18-19 and had an injury riddled year. I wouldn't bet against him</div></div>
Fair.
I was just looking at Dahlins RAPM chart, and Evolving hockey player card he was so much better in his rookie year. Do you think it’s fair to say he was a top 15 LD before Krueger basically ruined him?

I have a hard time believing Couturier is better than Eichel. Also Crosby wasn’t really that good last year.

Another take at starting lineups
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hammerwise</b></div><div>Some worries there:
I worry about McCabe being the 1LD, although hes a better fit than Dahlin at 1LD with Risto. Ultimately I still think a move needs to be made at LD (with risto or Miller being moved), with a more solid lineup of:
Dahlin-Montour (Dahlin gets a solid 2way vet)
? - one of Miller/Risto
McCabe - Joki (Joki gets a solid stay at home vet, McCabe is 1PK)
RD Irwin is 7th
Also, that 3rd line is very young and really needs a productive vet to help the kids along, maybe Reinhardt/girgensons. The 4th line is meh, I'd prefer a bit more upside and youth than eakin-okposo-reider.</div></div>
Lines seem to be set already. The only thing we don’t know is how Cozens will fit in. I think he’s going to pts ty today.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>leafs101</b></div><div>bet he won't this year considering how top heavy the F group is</div></div>
I’m just predicting what Krueger will do. Personally I would ask Sam to play center again and do this.

Skinner-Reinhart-Cozens
Rustolainen-Staal-Thompson

The 3rd line will get more defensive minutes. While the fourth line will get more offensive zone faceoffs. Krueger really plays his lines a similar amount they don’t really matter too much.

Top 5 Players Each Position
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dzad96</b></div><div>That's fine I'll still take Matthews all day. Would you trade Eichel for Matthews 1 for 1?</div></div>
No. Matthews may be better which I have no problem in people thinking that. But Eichel contract is longer and cheaper.

Top 5 Players Each Position
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dzad96</b></div><div>I mean Matthews is the second best 5v5 goal scorer in the league since he came in. 158 goals in 282 games. Eichel has 137 goals in 354 games.
And if you just look at last year 47 goals in 70 for matthews, 36 goals in 68 for eichel.
I know goals isn't everything. but they would both be described as goal scoring centers. And I'll take Matthews over Eichel defensively as well.
They aren't even close IMO. but obviously, I am bias, as are you the opposite way.</div></div>
There analytics are similar. By just looking at their RAPM chart. Eichel has the better basic stats since 16-17 too.

will this get eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spanky227</b></div><div>Lol what? He’s starting on the third line because of kreider and Panarin as left wings.. he’s playing with former first round picks Chytil and gauthier. Gauthier is the only risky play, but he’s also in his prove it or lose it year. Kravtsov should take that spot come March. Personally I think a lafreniere-Chytil-kravtsov line would be good for all three of their developments.
Eichel was given to bottom feeder Buffalo with zero support.. not really promosing</div></div>
They have LW depth that’s it.
RW Is really weak. Center depth isn’t great either Mika Zibanejad shooting percentage will go down. Strome is fine because he plays with Panarin. I’m sorry I don’t trust LAF on the 3rd line with Chytil.
And they have the worst defense in the division. They will finish bottom 3 in the east.

Rangers are still a really bad team. They don’t have the reliable depth to help a rookie.

Kakko and Hughes had no business being in the NHL last season. It wouldn’t surprise me if Cozens and Zegras are better this year though.

He played a good portion of the season playing with Eichel and only scored 9 goals. He didn’t have the speed to keep up.
