The values here are ridiculous, even the jokiharju deal (I'm not a fan of his mind you), if that's all you can get for him, you keep him for depth until he can be moved with something else to get something we need.</div></div>
Find me a spot on the Sabres roster in 24-25 season, 25-26 season where you can pencil in Savoie or Rosen. Kulich is the better prospect of those 3 and will be held onto. With Benson, Peterka, Quinn solidifying spots and continuing to grow, Mittlestadt being resigned, the Sabres essentially need to move them to address areas of weakness.

The Sabres will need to overpay for what they need. If you trade for Saros, Adams definitely resigns him. Murphy is a 6'4 right shot, good skating, physical defenseman, which over the past 5 years fetches very good returns. Sabres also have the ability to overpay given their Top 9 is pretty much set for the next 3-5 seasons. Kulich is a better prospect and more NHL ready than Savoie or Rosen. At this point Savoie and Rosen are expendable with the emergence of Quinn, Peterka, Benson having a lock on spots for many years to come. Sabres are trading from a place of strength and addressing areas of weakness.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>Those are 3 trades the Sabres would not and should not make. 1 year of Saros does not cost a A+ prospect, unprotected 1st, a B prospect, and UPL (who would be a good goalie with any other D core in front of him). Murphy is an alright defenseman but wouldn't cost a A prospect, B prospect, solid 2-way forward and a pick. I'd peg his value at a B prospect and a 2nd personally. If we were to move on from Jokiharju (which I'm good with) we should be looking to acquire a solid bottom 6 forward or a D prospect</div></div>
Sabres will need to overpay to address the goaltending void they have. UPL has shown flashes of being a good NHL goalie, but he still gives up to many bad angle goals, gets beat with a slow glove and still struggles with positioning. The Sabres cannot waste the young core they have waiting for a goalie to emerge. If the Sabres trade for Saros, he will not be a 1 year rental. I think Adams would sign Saros to a 3-4 year deal and pair him with Levi for the next half decade. To get Saros and re-sign the Sabres will need to pay.
Based on what 30 year old right shot defenseman with size and skating ability plus veteran leadership have fetched the last few years, sending a, A prospect, B prospect, mid round pick and a unproven russian talent is not an overpay. Especially with the void he fills on the Sabres defense and him being a perfect partner for Power or Johnson. Also the Sabres are going to need to trade some prospects given they will not have room for them all in the coming 1-3 years. Definitely think Kulich, Ostlund, Wahlberg, Neuchev all bring something the Sabres need and Rosen is expendable at this point.
Sabres can address bottom 6 in free agency or with Brett Murray or Rousek from Rochester. Joki could fetch a solid 3rd, which can be used to draft a D prospect. Sabres truly have no openings on the D end for the next 3-5 seasons.

Murphy is a casualty of bad defensive partners and young/inexperienced forwards in front of him. Murphy still has plenty of game. Past trades of defenseman of Murphys age and caliber tend to get very good returns.

He's another high end, but under 6' forward. Greenway is a cap dump at this point, and Kisakov isn't a good enough prospect to cover dumping Greenway. And Buffalo is likely getting the better pick too. I wholeheartedly believe the Hawks decline.</div></div>
Murphy is on the backside of his career. Still has some game and can contribute, but a good trade piece Hawks will move. Rosen, while smaller, has a ton of speed and crafty hands. In todays modern NHL, teams with players of the nature are in the the top of the league. Hawks need a player like Greenway, especially with young, smaller fowards needing space and protection. Kisakov is a better prospect than we have seen. Guy has nasty mits and hockey IQ. Dealt with some injuries but is now getting more AHL playing time.

Isak Rosen is a very interesting piece as he is a former 1st Rd pick, a top 5 Sabres prospect and loaded with talent.

All your flashy Top 3 picks have really gotten the Rangers far. Eichel on that Rangers team has you guys as a Top 4 in the East, Top 8 in the league, while producing 100+ points.

Once again, if Pearson is a Top 6 in Vancouver, then the Canucks are in horrible shape. Pearson is a Top 9, maybe a 4th line on a great team. Reinhart is a 60-70pt W/C playing on one of the worst teams in hockey. Average is not a word to describe Reinhart.

Per Elliot Freidman, Vancouver is willing to move 9 for Reinhart if the deal is right. If Pearson is a Top 6 in Vancouver then the Canucks are in worse shape than I thought. Pearson is a 3rd line forward, all you need to do is compared Reinhart to Pearson stats and is relatively lopsided.

For the future of Buffalo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sabres1973</b></div><div>It’s not even close to enough. First of all Chicago pick is mid second round and Vegas is a late 2nd. Strome is yes a third line center and we have about 8 of those. We don’t need another one. Reinhart was tied for 11th in goal scoring in the league this year. You don’t just give guys like that away for mid to late 2nd round picks and a third line center who didn’t play well last year.</div></div>
You are failing to realize that Sam is a final year RFA, if they team he is going to cannot resign him or get him to committee some kind of deal longer than this year, the value of Reinhart drops greatly. If the Sabres can work a sign and trade, then of course you can ask for and get more. However, sign and trades dont happen often and the Sabres will need to get what they can get. Sam Reinhart on at least 20 teams is at best a 2md line center or wing, on 5 or 6 teams may be a 3rd line wing or center. He's been on a Top line player in Buffalo because we've sucked for his 6 years. The guy averages 55 pts a year, he's not McDavid.

Completely overvaluing Eichel. To get 2 firsts and a prospect like Boldly is huge. Greenway is a physical presence the Sabres need and can score! Girgensons doesn't have a spot on this team, and Minny could use a PK specialist like him. Its a deal both teams win on.

No Trades can be moves or negotiated. Tampa has several NTMC on the team, some of them will need to be moved for cap reasons. Believe Tampa is around $16 million over right now.
