We don't need Zacha or Wood
Mukhamadullin is better than Walsh
I have no faith in Holtz & no way will he be as good and physical as Tkachuk
If Slafkovsky is gone , I don't care about Wright. I think he could become Nolan Patrick 2.0
As a Devils fan, I would gladly pay 5 horses for 1 stud

NJ was playing Geertsen... Lucic is better and only has 1 year . He can also provide leadership .

I'm just showing all you guys how NJ has plenty of prospects and picks to do the move. I would love to see this move all day .
NJ is only losing 1 pick .
Tkachuk all day before Holtz
Mukhamadullin is better than Walsh
Foot, Thompson & Gritsyuk are future pieces that need spots over Zacha and wood
So .... my point is, give me rhe best player possible. Enough of ok players

2022 Offseason
As a Devils fan . I like the trade , but would like that 2023 1rst round pick be top 5 protected.
Also would like to have a long term extension in writing..

As a Devils fan I take this. I'd even give you the 2023 2nd round instead of the 4th round you got there , but that's just me ...

👍👍 a 2023 1rst it is . As long as it is top 5 protected. Then it becomes a 2024 1rst ... I really don't know about playoffs, but they should be out of the bottom 5 for sure

NJ will probably trade Ryan Graves at the trade deadline if they are not in the race, but not until then. Luke Hughes will be replacing him .

NJD 22-23
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>I agree with most of the commentary at the top.
We shouldn't go for big fish winger. Not really needed.
Coaching needs to change (maybe not Lindy, but some elements of the approach)
Be patient, be conservative.
I would nitpick on a few items:
1. We should not give up on Zacha. At all. Ignore where he was drafted. 25-years old is old on our team, but young on many others. Should Islanders give up on Beauvillier? Should Stars give up on Gurianov? Many are talking about Lawson Crouse getting a 1st+ over the summer, and he didn't really outproduce Zacha. Look what Sam Bennett got last year...no reason Zacha cannot return that if we trade him.
2. Johnsson should be kept if roster spot is there, Tatar should not be.
3. On the secondary prospects...I think Okhotiuk could be above Bahl. Keep him.</div></div>

I also like Okhotiuk more than Bahl . His agility, skating & positioning is way better and he has all kinds of physicality.

Also, if you are going to pick one of them off, Gaudreau or Mangiapane would probably be easier (not easy, but easier).</div></div>
I was making one with Gaudreau instead... I just can't see paying someone that much at that age... plus he is small like Hughes. Mangiapane is probably the easier way out , but like you said. Still not easy

I'm going to agree . He is probably looking at a 7 year . NJ will have to give them 4 1rst rounders if they want a shot at him
Trading for his assets would be better if he signs for 8 years . I'd be willing to give this years first with Holtz, Graves or Severson ( preferably Graves ) with some small pieces to finish...

Bratt & Zacha are RFA at ends year .Only 1 of the 2 can stay next season if they excel and demand more $ . I can switch for Studenic

In a Few Years
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PaulieWalnuts</b></div><div>Haha I like that the cap is kinda screwed in the next offseason as I count 8 players (including Mercer and Holtz) who are coming of their ELC's. Granted the cap limit may have increased from 81.5 by 2024-25 but even if there was 10 million in cap space for that offseason it would make cap compliance a tight fit with all the necessary signings. I guess at this point Fitz starts trading out a winger or two for picks, prospects / new ELCs'.</div></div>
This could be a good problem to have. Tampa seems to be coming out ok. 👍👍

Looks good .
Obviously the season will dictate everything, but that could work. I'm hoping N. Foot is taking M.Wood spot on the 4th line over A. Johnsson . And only for contract reasons I would give L. Hughes 2 years in Michigan so his new contract only overlaps D. Hamilton's by 2 years . This would also give K. Bahl / R. Walsh & M. Vukojevic a chance . 👍👍
