I didnt feel the need to explain myself when all you said is basically "lucic is better than neal" even though few people would agree with that. I guess if youd want to have alittle harder hitting forward who could be used to throw the body around then ya...lucic is your guy. But youd probably be using him with Bennett and Jankowski...in that case, id prefer to have Neal because hes better offensively

There isn’t a spot for Neal in Calgary that would make all parties happy that was evident in the playoffs. Troy Brouwer also took off seasons seriously.. along with every other aging NHL player that wants to stay relevant, that’s a horrid argument.</div></div>
Im not basing my argument completely off of that.... theyre both washed up players (Not even old players because theyre 31) who have significantly dropped off their play in the last couple years. But pushing top 6 in edmonton isnt saying anything, id say thats a pretty horrid argument.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RahefIssaLeafsHockey</b></div><div>Can we just stop pretending that Mitch Marner deserves to make similar money compared to Auston Matthews? This is getting beyond ridiculous. Ever since entering the league, no player has scored more even strength goals than Matthews, Marner is absolutely not in the same category in terms of individual ability. In fact, even William Nylander is a better individual player than Mitch Marner. So far in their careers, Nylander’s Corsi for is 54% whereas Marner’s is only 40%. In fact, each star forward on the Leafs found more success playing with Nylander than with Marner. Kadri has a .86 G/60 playing with Nylander and .85 playing with Marner. Van Riemsdyk has a 1.33 G/60 playing with Nylander and 1.18 with Marner. Tavares has a 6.27 G/60 playing with Nylander and 1.53 with Marner. Matthews has a 1.53 G/60 with Nylander and a 1.04 with Marner. This suggests that Marner doesn’t have a lot of individual talent plus his all round game is lacking. He has been riding on success playing with elite centres such as Nazem Kadri and John Tavares. On his own he is average at best. Everyone has been talking about how he should be getting paid 9-10 million a season, but he’s actually nowhere close to that level. In reality, Mitch Marner’s closest comparable is Conor Sheary, another average winger who has benefited from playing with elite centres. Anything offer sheet over 5 million dollars the Leafs should not bother matching. Just look at his advanced stats and possession metrics! Awful.</div></div>
You are also so removed from reality if you think that Mitch Marners closest comparison is Connor F***ing Sheary. Please, do us all a favor and delete your account so we dont have to be exposed to this tomfoolery

I was more getting around the the fact that Patrik Laine is one of the most overrated players in the league, Laine is a joe average player with an above average shot. Regardless of Matthews being better than Marner (obviously you dunce), thatd be one of the worst trades, As a Bs fan I'm praying TML front office is this dumb.

I want guys that can put the puck in the net 5 on 5, not just the powerplay. Also if rakell puts up 69 points again last year i think your tune is changed. i think with a competent line like i assembled above with meier and krejci he could really put the puck in the net.</div></div>
you also bring up a good point about Krug having 1 year left, I guess that does bring his value down alittle bit

Yeah youre def right about him being a 5v5 liability, although he has grown more as a defensive player. On 5v5 hes great at getting the puck out of the defensive zone (not like McAvoy but still great at it) . I guess that I just see the 69 Points as a bit of an outlier but we'll see. I just feel like now, you could sweeten the deal and put a lesser draft pick or random burner in there from ANA because Krug has proved his worth more than Rakell at this point in time.

You know Pavelski is only making $6Mil right now....and now that hes 34 you wanna give him a 3 year contract that locks him until hes 37 at $7.5???? Yeah, he had a great year, but thats an insane contract to give at his age. Id get rid of him completely and pay Carlo/McAvoy or even more to Johannson to lock him down in Boston

No, Im saying that the bruins are getting boned in this trade. Krugs value is alot higher than Rakells. Krug has basically the same amount of points as a defenseman, plus he adds so much more to the PP
