You need depth and he's cheap, awesome depth. If he's the difference in a better package then fine but I'd rather keep him.

Don't move Boqvist. He was a .5 point per game player to end the season and started flashing potential. Doubt you'll get much for him anyway. Better to keep the player.

Devils are shedding players and even if they weren't you want them to take a player they drafted and he refused to sign and play the extra year in college so he'd never have to play for the Devils for a first? No chance.

He can fetch it on the open market with so many teams in need of goaltending help and the UFA crop being so thin, even thinner with Holtby's news. Because the goalie market is desperate you are not getting Blackwood cheap if the Devils shift course and do trade him.

Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek think with the Devils signing the Blue's former goaltending coach they are going hard in on Husso and Campbell is leaning toward the Oilers and wants 5 x 5.

He already declined. We drafted him and he refused to sign with us and played his extra year in college to not have to play for the Devils. We are absolutely not trading for him and especially this G-d awful price.

VV isn't the worst back up plan for the Devils but it sounds like they are making a push for Campbell (Public Service announcement: his UFA rights have 0 value regardless of what Larry Brooks says and is certainly not worth the 2oa, Blackwood or Wood) or Husso so if they trade anything for him it would be after the draft and free agency so a 2022 won't work.

Devils are not looking to dump Blackwood and if they did there is a better market for a cheap starting goalie than a 4th. Tatar has a rough season but also missed training camp on a new team and started to flash late season. Devils are better off holding on to him until the trade deadline and figuring out where they are before trying to move him. Mango's value is complete mystery so I guess a 3rd seems fine.
