Not really much flexibility here is there
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HeadHighSauce</b></div><div>I do not think you will be getting 2, Mercer, or Holtz.</div></div>
I agree that that's likely the case and if any of them move it would probably be Holtz. But it is upsetting as a fan knowing that Fiala's value is likely Holtz or Mercer. Is it likely for the Devils to be able to retain Holtz if he breaks out and they acquire Fiala? Or will he become trade bait then?

My guess at Fiala trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joshelkin</b></div><div>I just don't think the Isles trade Raty. I get the Wild want a C prospect. But I also doubt Mercer is on the table for NJ. Maybe OTT has a C I'm forgetting about but arguably the top suitors for Fiala aren't likely to have that C.
I'd counter with Simon Holmstrom and Bode Wilde as the players involved in the trade. It's reasonable value. Just not getting the priority position you probably want. Just draft Kaspar, Lambert, or Geekie at #13</div></div>
Neither of those players even combined are worth Fiala lol (including the first of course). That's a joke. Fiala is an insanely talented player that get repeatedly bashed on because fans think prospects are more valuable than proven talent.

Debunking Minnesota No Leverage with Fiala Due to Cap Part 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HeadHighSauce</b></div><div>A mid-first and a good prospect like Foote or Gritsyuk is sh*t? Okay.</div></div>
Foote is a fine prospect but for a talent like Fiala that's an absolute joke if you think that and mediocre 1st is good compensation. Look at any player on your team that is capable of putting up a PPG and not being paired with Jack Hughes and ask yourself if that's reasonable. You're kidding me if you think that lol. None of you are even capable of giving up a guy like Holtz, that hasn't been able to crack your non-playoff line up. To grow as a team you need to deal a high-end prospect

Wild big trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wabit</b></div><div>So basically it's Fiala/Mercer 1-for-1 and the rest is stuff for stuff?</div></div>
Essentially, I guess. From what I heard Billy wants a high-end center and is willing to go 1-for-1 on that but i think adding a high potential D prospect back for another decent player has good value for each team. Foote is a good prospect for the post buy out Wild. The Wild D prospects are pretty much perfect for pairing with Hughes or Hamilton down the road.

Team would be good
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SimonSelaars3</b></div><div>Does NJ really need D prospects though? They are set with Dougie and Hughes for probably the next decade as a top 2. I don’t know if they are gonna keep Ryan graves but I definitely would if I were them. Not sure if they are gonna keep Severson or Seigenthaler, Subban is gone and then they have Smith, Bahl, Walsh, and Shakir.
What would you think a bigger deal would look like?</div></div>
Very fair question, I just think they have a ton of near ready NHL quality forwards and are lacking in defense prospects. We have a forward we can't afford and mutiple D propects to fill any spot they may need and they have a surplus of of forwards that they're running out of room for. There is a possibility of the Wild sending Fiala and a high end D prospect to NJ for a couple offensive pieces coming back. I know they have the 2 Hughes and Hamilton but they're bordeline able to hand select a prospect to fill any role they may need

Wild big trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SimonSelaars3</b></div><div>All I want to know is what 2nd tier prospect Guerin would rather have between guys like Foote, Thompson, or Zetterlund.
These are the questions I ask myself</div></div>
I like the idea of Foote as a big body with scoring potential. Lots of mocks look like he gets dumped off and physically he might be a future Foligno replacement He's easily my favorite 2nd tier prospect right now, but to be fair I don't know a ton about him. Also, I completely botched the Wild D in this mock lol. I forgot Middleton and the pairings

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SimonSelaars3</b></div><div>I don’t mind the Minnesota deal but who could NJ replace Smith with in this proposal? Young LHD is probably the last thing the Wild need. I’m sure Guerin would be interested in some forward instead that’s on an elc or cheap contract that’s still young.</div></div>
I feel like if it really boiled down to it the Devils and the Wild would make a bigger trade considering the Wild have numerous D prospects and are likely looking to acquire a high end F prospect. I'm thinking it'll be a bigger deal then expected on both fronts

MN has likely no interest in Smith. Its a very meh trade offer that offers little to the Wild. Devils fans continue to underrate Fiala and overrate prospects in comparison. Can't argue with them though because prospects are fun

Fiala to the Isles
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joshelkin</b></div><div>Isles definitely aren’t trading both Raty and Wahlstrom. I seriously doubt either gets moved. Beauvillier and Bailey are the realistic roster players I could see being traded. “Prospects” possibly Holmstrom and (Bellows depending how you characterize him)</div></div>
I'd be relatively upset if the Wild traded for anyone that isn't Raty or Wahlstrom from the Isles. I do understand why the Isles wouldn't be willing to move them though
