Trade for needs
There is youth there Les Canadiens are getting a standout in the junior tournament. A good young defense man and are surrounded by drouin lek, scherbak, Gal Other then Gallagher and weber. There's going to be a massive lack of leadership and a bridge is needed till kyrou can take a prominent role. What you get is a 6 foot four tough scorer who plays a great north south game and giving room for drouin on the first line. Can give you twenty plus and a wealth of experience. Still effective and with an amazing low contract with term. I'd call that a win. Plekanec won't be back next year after all and St. Louis will want to add salary Why not make it useful

Boarding Call YWG
If I'm vegas I do take end trombone if he's available remember it takes defenseman hears to develop I'd rather have two or three relatively established back there and enstrom is perceived as a top four Not a bad mix of players there bud

Great defensive player It's a guess but with all the artillery up front and contracts on defense I would expect him to be available Las vegas will spend many nights in thier own end so picking him is a no brainer

It depends if the penguins can afford it at the moment Fleury has the veto if he's available I'm sure McPhee takes him <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Capitalfail67</b></div><div>jay beagle you monster......</div></div>

Unless Fleury waives Murray is exposed</div></div>
Not necessarily JR can buy out Fleury making him a UFA if he doesn't waive.</div></div>

Yes unfortunately there is Like it or not Fleury has a no movement clause so at the moment Murry is exposed Carolina has no other defenseman to expose but Faulk I'm sorry you don't lIke it but if you're McPhee You're doing it

Getting creative WPG DET and FA's
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Drewpinner87</b></div><div>Detroit is rebuilding they are not gonna do that. if you move Byfuglien it needs to be a good team
I'll second that Number 33 will be wanted by teams who are missing that big shot and physical presence required to bring them over the edge It can go two ways he is moved for an improved 2 way defenseman of the same calibre like a doughty( Since I don't see la ever going that route) it will be to a similar team that can package a great defense first defenseman and an up an coming d offensive defenseman or another dependable defenseman Teams that will get him can shelter buff defensively thus his game will be more then an asset then a hindrance Think San Jose or Anaheim perhaps Philly In the end the Jets are going to want a shutdown presence to play with Meyers Another veteran will be brought in to make up for the leadership with Ladd and buff gone</div></div>

DEFENSIVE DEFENSE
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nashless</b></div><div><i>Ditto jdp. Avs are high on Wiercioch. Cowan is finished goods, or is he playing in ahl ? I love grit, but Thorburn is "Tanner Glass" bad. Couple of games I've seen Tanev, he was impressive with a big, fast, aggressive forecheck game. You don't want those buyouts, just bury or trade. Not worthless.... Wow, this is nice! An actual civilized conversation. We don't see this in the big Cities fan bases. Thanks...</i></div></div>
Cowan is a free agent As a senators fan till the arrival of the Jets I watched the games he plays he is a big body that could use some of it in a defensive posture I'm a fan of reclamation projects and we have tons of money already locked up in defense this could be of some value

DEFENSIVE DEFENSE
Agreed I guess it was a best case scenario The Jets have tons of scoring but for some unknown reason have lost any defensive posture from two years ago I was approaching this as what goaltender ca win you games based on high shot scenarios and outside of defensive coaching You can view quick as approaching example Within a defensive structure would he be able to save you games? There a few I narrowed it down to bishop anderson Schneider and smith bishop is going to wait for the highest bidder wpg doesn't pay that game Schneider would be a great case and since he played all his ahl career in wpg would be Co for table with the management but new jersey will never move him Smith can be good but never had success outside of the desert Leaves anderson who can have 40 plus save performances Only way this is possible is if management wants to cut costs and sees great value in Condon
