1 for 1 - blockbuster trade
NJ and MTL are about to draft for these needs so I don't know why they trade these players just to draft for who they're trying to replace.
NJ does this and then drafts Catton?
MTL does this and drafts Dickinson?
Just don't do it, MTL draft Demidov and NJ draft Perehk, Buium or Yakemchuk
Just seems unnecessary

Cant see Harris and Barron staying
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SevenLeg</b></div><div>Barron is 100% gone IMO. Mailloux has simply passed him. Think they're gonna trade him for a similar-aged forward (The likes of Tomasino, Holloway, etc.)
As for Harris, I think he'll stick around one more season and Struble will be down because of his waivers exemption.</div></div>
Personally, I can see that, but Harris can be our 7th Dman. I can see a defensive core like this :
Matheson - Guhle
Hutson - Savard
Xhekaj - Mailloux
Extra : Harris

Don’t see why Minny would have to give up a first round pick in this situation.

Looking at 2-years ahead
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>Let's use Fiala as a comparable then. 1st and Faber. So a 1st and Hutson? Hutson was a second rounder that's exceeded expectations. The difference between Cat, Fiala and Necas is that Necas isn't a winger. He wants to play center, that's what is sparking the entire rumor of him being moved. Carolina can afford to keep him, but you're not paying for a winger.</div></div>
Necas is 8th in CAR total faceoffs, with a 34.8 FOW%. That is a winger, no debate.
I do agree that CAR should get more than that for him, but a team will be paying for a winger

I love Orlov and think he's gonna be a solid replacement for Skjei next year but MAN i'm gonna miss Skjei here.

ZEGRAS TRADE AT 7TH OVERALL PICK
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SevenLeg</b></div><div>I understand both POV, and I think the feasability depends on how available Zegras truly is this summer.</div></div>
The only realistic scenario in which I see Zegras becoming available is if Anaheim lands either Celebrini or Levshunov in the draft. Even then, the player coming with an early first-rounder would have to be a RW with a very high upside.

Busy offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SevenLeg</b></div><div>That's kinda the point. COL traded Newhook during their window because he was not developing fast enough to take the roster spot they penciled him into, and brought a more ready forward in Colton. Lundell is less and less productive each season, so they might want to use that money to re-sign Reinhart/Montour and eventually Bennett who are more important to their current window.</div></div>
It might be just me, But I would imagine that Bill Zito would try to move Sam Bennett over Anton Lundell. Zito seems to really like Lundell and I just can't see him moving him anytime soon.

with how he's been playing since Allen left Primeau could overtake Montembeault soon, I wouldn't trade him for a half a point per game ahler who turns 22 this year, and keeping Primeau kinda eliminates the Anderson-Kuemper swap, unless you can flip Kuemper to another team immediately

Nope. Boston is moving forward with Swayman. He fits the timeline with Pasta and McAvoy
