Got decent pieces without giving up decent assets. Savvy.
I think most of the irritation comes from seeing the huge moves made by Florida and Carolina in the East, and then Vegas and Colorado out West.
None of that you could blame Drury for. Just the feeling of dread that these moves might not be enough to compete with those Big Dogs.</div></div>
It’s valid. Could be a year early. We need Rempe to play every game is what we need. Idk if he is ready yet.
Goodrow has to go. It’s non negotiable

Buchnevich can supposedly be had for 2 First Rounders. Would rather give up those late 1st's and keep someone like Othmann.
Feel like Tuch's price will be insane with 2 more years of control remaining.
Vatrano should cost 2024 1st, a 4th and one of Sykora or Berard.</div></div>
My guess is that Sykora/Berard are off limits for Vatrano..
My offer for Vatrano would be
To ANA:
2024 1st Round Pick*
2026 5th Round Pick
Karl Henriksson
*CONDITIONS:
Anaheim can decide between the 2024 1st or a 2025 1st.

100% agree. The perceived value on Vatrano is absurd at this point.

From what we know, it hasn't been until recent that they engaged in contract extension conversations. I think because with NSH playing horribly up until February, they were probably working on trading him, but with their recent string of play they changed course.

Verbeek Lurking Around MSG
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shakabakes</b></div><div>Not saying the Rangers will absolutely do both of these deals. May instead look to Tarasenko, Wennberg, Novak or others outside of this package.
But common sense would show that these are the appropriate values for each of these individual players, especially with 1 having an extra year of control. With retention on both.</div></div>
Yeah I think they might look towards a RW first...whether it's Tarasenko, Eberle, etc and then go for a bottom 6 center.
Agree with the Vatrano cost.

Rangers decline because Rangers are looking to win this season and trading Kakko creates an even bigger hole on the right side.

I do not think Perreault and Kakko are equal value wise.</div></div>
I don’t think they’re equal either but I do think Henrique will end up costing more than a 1st due to supply and demand therefore bridging the value for Kakko
That’s just my take on that idea

That's true but I think the longer Verbeek waits, the possibility of more sellers coming to the market increases. I think we are waiting on Seattle, Washington, Pittsburgh and possibly Nashville to decide their intentions. That could mean Wennberg, Dowd, Eller, Novak, etc coming onto the market.

2 for 1 Shopping
The offer for Henrique is accepted
The offer for Vatrano is probably fair value, but ANA doesn’t need a LHD, and with the value of those picks being so far out, I imagine ANA would prefer to keep their leading scorer for another season gladly taking less in return next TDL. It’s fine value, but not enticing enough to pry him away

1 Stop Shopping
I like the one stop shopping idea, but just to solidify the bottom 6 by picking up Novak and Trenin
Then grab Duclair or Zucker for 1 RW
I like Nyquist too but that’s asking for a lot from one team, especially since you’re going to need some retention in there

Id like to maybe get Trenin (@50%), Evangelista or Sherwood as well for some bottom 6 depth. Id also like to get a vet D man (not necessarily from NSH) for some depth there as well. Dont want to rely on just Jones.

Interesting ideas here. I think you have to add for Smith, though. We have a good amount of LW/C prospects that should get it done.

Smith trade is fair. If you have a good amount of LW/C prospects I would prefer one or two of them instead of multiple picks

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rags21</b></div><div>It looks like Sissons plays 2nd line which usually means better linemates whereas Novak is 3rd line. Dating back to last year, Novak has 7 more 5v5 points in 42 less games than Sissons
I mean Chytil wasn’t good at faceoffs either lol and we’ve seen Lavi put trocheck on the ice for faceoff and he gets off.</div></div>
As a Preds fan to add context. Sissons plays a shutdown role most of the time taking D zone faceoffs and tough minutes against tops lines. Novak does get sheltered a bit with O zone faceoffs but also plays with guys who are usually younger. But the lines have been in a blender all season. They play totally different games. Sissons is a do it all guy; kills penalties, can play on the PP, faceoff guy, and locker room leader. Novak is more of an offensive guy who really hasn't been in the best environment to grow, but is still putting up solid numbers and improving. I really think Trotz tries his best to resign him this year, as he is exactly what Nashville needs.
That being said I think Nashville would want a first and a prospect for Sissons, so this trade is close and I'd probably just swap the fourth for a C prospect

I’d rather have Sissins of the two. Novak is not good at faceoffs, is barely outproducing Sissins at 5v5, gets 80% of his starts in the offensive zone, and is a UFA after this season. The only thing he has on Sissons is that he’s three-and-a-half years younger.

It'll be interesting to see if Seattle sells, if so Gourde, Eberle, Wenbberg are all very interesting options
Tarasenko trade might be a bit of an overpay because I dont know how big the market is for him
I like the Bogo trade
