We are talking about a marginal upgrade over Ceci and a potential bust for a guy who would become the best winger in Edmonton without a doubt.</div></div>
Kap has slightly higher value than Larsson. It will take more than just Kapanen to get Larsson and JP98

BTW Myers should not be being paid 6M. I wouldn't even give him 3</div></div>
Karlsson is one of the worst defensive defence man in the league, he's a forward playing D. He back checks more than he skates backwards. He's not worth 8+ million a year

Leafs 1920
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Cap won't be $83M ($82M or $82.5M) and Kap is worth at least $3.5M and maybe $4m or slightly over. This is the problem with Tor if they keep Nylander. They will have to let Kap walk plus find a magical way to get rid of Horton's contract because you can't LITR him until the 1st day of the season putting the Leafs over the cap by too much day 1.</div></div>
Kapanen is not worth 3.5-4 million. Max would be 3 on his next deal, which would be a bridge contract 2-4 years. He`s had 25 good games so far as a top6/9 forward. If he can do it for 2-3 years then he can get 4+ a season

McDavid
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>arousedcat</b></div><div>I know this is a troll post, but someone has posted something very similarly to this EDM and TOR trade a while back and I actually think it helps both teams. Obviously it would never happen but the Oilers' need some more depth scoring and with Nylander and Matthews having an electric chemsitry, this addresses that issue. Place Nuge with Drai and you have a pretty great top 6. Matthews is not as good as McDavid, but I think Matthews could very easily be a 100+ point center. Add a future 70-90 point winger who could very easily be close to a 100 point player with Matthews given their chemistry and you have an incredible package for Edmonton. Obviously McDavid really is a generational talent and any trade where the Oilers lose him is a bad deal for them, but hypothetically this would be the type of package that would have to be offered (note that I'm not saying it would ever happen just that in a very hypothetical world where McDavid wants out of Edmonton I think the Oilers would consider something like that). Again, any trade involving McDavid is a loss for Edmonton.
Toronto gets even better and would probably win more cups than Pittsburgh and Chicago did in their glory days for the past decade. Just look at that center depth, it's insane.</div></div>
I just made an Edmonton ACGM and had those as the top two lines

My buddy gave me the idea of McDavid to the Leafs and thought what would work for both teams. Obviously this won't happen but it was interesting to figure out how both teams would look. Wouldn't put it past Chiarelli to make some drastic move tho

Ive watched Zaitsev for 2 years and he is terrible. overtime you give a Russian D man big $ and long term they go for a ****. He's a 3rd pair D at best IMO. He`s had 2 years to learn the NA game and still struggles constantly. He's a pylon on the ice. Never give Russian D men big contracts. They never work out

What do you think would be a fair deal for Backlund? Last year the prices were high and not a lot of them worked out. The reason Colborne comes back is to loose some cap with Stajan and maybe he could find his old game again coming back to where he had some success. Just an idea, don't think it would actually happen
