NHL Trade Rumors made another dumb trade again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jay27</b></div><div>Don’t think I’d go as far as calling Hutson a generational talent, he has the potential to be elite but that is yet to be seen. Regardless if Montreal were trading this package they’d need to be getting a true gamebreaker in return and Buchnevich ain’t it. I do like Neighbours though but not enough to justify this…</div></div>
He has better numbers than Makar and Fox did. He outproduced Brian Leetch. Dominated at every level. Hes gonna be a top 5 d man in the league in 5 years

Technically breaking a 35 year old scoring record is beyond a generational achievement.
The way generational is used for NHL prospects however, no.
You have to be a hyped up 1st overall lock that only comes around once every several drafts.
McDavid was the last before Bedard, an 8 year gap.

Hello
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shylo_Moxii</b></div><div>And Hemsky never scored over 30 goals in a season in his career. I’d argue he would be more like David Perron when he was on the Blues than Jordan Kyrou because 43 of the 174 goals Hemsky scored was on the Power Play. Which is just like Perron.</div></div>
I definitely forgot about considering goalscoring when picking Hemsky as an example, sorry, I was trying to find a young ppg forward,

Hello
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shylo_Moxii</b></div><div>I disagree Guhle as the upside of a 2-3D maybe not a 1 but definitely a 2-3. I still wouldn’t trade Kyrou for him.</div></div>
I'm not giving my assessment that his ceiling is a #4, I'm going by what the consensus among prospect pundits typically say. If this guy can find me one writer/outlet that thinks Guhle is a top pairing D or (chokes back laughter) the next Pietrangelo, I'll be astonished. I mean, holy wow. That just shows a clear misunderstanding of Petro. NOBODY is EVER going to confuse Petro's puck game with Guhle.
Maybe Guhle could be a #2. He's not a pairing driver. Probably #4 sounds like a very fair word on him to me. It's the Matt Knies thing all over again. Meanwhile, he somehow imagines that Kyrou is like Hemsky. The delusions are rampant.

What kind of voodoo magic is that where a .9 PPG player signs at 6.5 million?
That defense will be abused across the league and yall will quickly become Edmonton c

If this isn't "cap friendly" with a 21 man roster and bonuses to pay. How does NJD pay for Bratt and Schmid next season? Just because Meirer has had a nice career and the Devils paid a lot to acquire shouldn't mean tteh Devils give up 8 year contract which will start at the age of 28.

Just to add, seems like CF fans like to overpay some players, especially ones like Meirer who was acquired at a high price.....then to low ball player (Bratt) who has been in the organization all his pro career.

People are def undervaluing having a super star at a 950k cap hit for 3 years. I'm not gonna call Bedard as good as any of those players YET, but think 2 years down the line in the last year of his ELC... You may have a McDavid level player on a $950k cap hit... That's priceless and no one can give up enough value for that.

The blue jackets are the exception because they need to build a contender around Gaudreau and Laine
