Puljujärvi is less physical than even Greenway is at times.</div></div>
With how physical Ek and Foligno are as players I couldn’t care less if Pulji is not physical, that line needs to generate more offense and Greenway is one of the least offensively threatening players on the team.

Ideally you get rid of Greenway and put Pulji with Ek and Foligno

I’m not huge on Lambert, he’s one of the best skaters I’ve ever seen at his age but he just doesn’t do much for me. I don’t know enough about Trikozov to comment on him but based on projections I’d be willing to bet we could get him at 47.
One thing is for sure though, draft week just got far more interesting for Wild fans.

He’s likely to fall due to the whole Russian ties but you can’t punish an 18 year old kid who has nothing to do with what’s going on with Russia and Ukraine right now. He’d be my preferred pick at 19. If Marco Kasper falls to around 10-13 I would be happy to see Guerin trade up to try and grab him. Rossi and Kasper are very familiar with each other both being natives of Austria plus Kasper fills our biggest need at center and has arguably the one of the highest floors in the entire draft so he’s be a pretty safe pick.

The dude has never played an NHL game in his life and put up 0 points in 2 AHL games. I’d wait to see what he looks like in North America before we start giving him those accolades.

My guess at Fiala trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joshelkin</b></div><div>IMO Raty is best served marinating one year in the AHL. I think him + the 13th pick is a little rich. I'd want something like the Mercer deal where it's a 2nd rounder. Maybe add a small piece in (Wilde again?) to make up some value. Is Rossi not going to be an NHL player next year? I get long term Center is a position of importance but Eriksson-Ek, Hartman, Gaudreau, Rossi, Jost seems like enough C depth to get by for now</div></div>
I expect Rossi to be in the lineup next year but we need somebody who can become a legitimate 1C and Rossi may very well become that one day but if you were to have both Räty and Rossi then you get 2 shots at developing a 1C vs just having 1 shot with Rossi. EK is the perfect 2nd line center but we get the best out of Foligno and Greenway who are 3rd line wingers by pairing them with EK. Hartman is best served playing winger and we have a number of guys who can play 4C.
I’d rather have EK, Rossi, and Räty down the middle for the next decade rather than just EK and Rossi.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joshelkin</b></div><div>I just don't think the Isles trade Raty. I get the Wild want a C prospect. But I also doubt Mercer is on the table for NJ. Maybe OTT has a C I'm forgetting about but arguably the top suitors for Fiala aren't likely to have that C.
I'd counter with Simon Holmstrom and Bode Wilde as the players involved in the trade. It's reasonable value. Just not getting the priority position you probably want. Just draft Kaspar, Lambert, or Geekie at #13</div></div>
Difference is Lambert, Kapser, and Geekie all would take 2/3 years to be an impact at the very least. Räty has a chance to step into the NHL at some point this upcoming season. To be completely honest I’m more interested in Räty than I am the 13th overall pick. My opinion means nothing though, it should be a fun next week or so with all the rumors and speculation around trades leading up to the draft on the 7th.

I still think Ottawa is going to be the team that ends up winning the Fiala sweepstakes. Dumba makes a whole lot of sense for them too if they can find a way to keep him long term, otherwise I would just prefer that Minnesota keeps him and trades him at the deadline because everyone overpays at the deadline.

Isnt Mercer a 3rd liner? I don’t see any spot opening up in the top 6 anytime soon especially with the likely arrival of Holtz and Slafkovsky. I honestly don’t know why your fan base thinks you need a top line winger lol.

He’s a 5’11 winger who weighs 220 pounds, right handed player who can both play center and right wing. He tore up the AHL last season as a 22 year old and had a really good stint with the NHL club to end the season. In my opinion he’s a tank with skill, I think he would bring more skill to the Ek line while maintaining the weight to play the big boy hockey style of play.

Wild big trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Aasen6</b></div><div>Buchnevich and fiala have almost identical production offensively the last 2 years and buchnevich is a better two way player why’s that so funny?</div></div>
Nobody cares about 2 years of production, you’re only as valuable as your last season. Fiala just had 85 points in 82 games leading up to the off season he will be traded. Buchnevich had 46 points in 54 games the season leading up to him being traded. By no means is Buchnevich the better two way players either. Also, you can’t realistically tell me that NY didn’t get absolutely fleeced by the Blues.
If that’s what you think Fiala is worth, Boeser is worth a 5th round pick and a D-level prospect.
And don’t hit me with the “oh they have no leverage because they’re cap strapped” If Guerin wanted to keep Fiala he would find a way to keep Fiala. Nothing is impossible when working with money that can be moved in and out.
And if you truly believe that’s what Fiala’s worth I’ll send you off with a quote.
