If we are to offer sheet someone, id prefer to go for Evan Bouchard. Pretty much same aav, but for 2 years and resign him long term (they might be able to figure something out for 1 year, but could be harder with 2 years). Minny might be in a tougher spot, but im not sure how Edmonton could make it works without trading a big piece or dumping Campbell. Also, I believe RD should be a priority right now.

(Maybe a trade could be better for both team in this case)

In term of value for Allen I think it’s good, but I wouldn’t trade him for this deal simply because we don’t know if Price will be able to comeback next season. Unless the direction is okay with Primeau being the #1 goalie I wouldn’t trade Allen. Value is there, the circonstance make it hard to accept.

I think Montreal counter with 2nd 2022 MTL, 2nd 2022 EDM, 4th 2022 MTL. It feels a little too much 2 2nd and 3rd knowing that we have the 33rd OA and the 65 OA.

It makes sense, roll three lines.</div></div>

I don’t really see it happening for 3 reasons.

1. Malkin would probably prefer to join a team competing for the cup.

2. Montreal most likely want to tank next season and adding Malkin will make them a bit more competitive.

3. If Price is back Montreal doesn’t have any money to spend. They would need to do a big cleanup.

I don’t think it’s the most trustworthy source, but thank you for linking it.

Yeah, it looked better in my head, maybe if we swap the first for a second and fourth it would be better.

Also like the guy said over me, winger are not the top priority for Montreal right now. I think Montreal would try to get Ty Dellandra over Gurianov.

If we take your trade as a base. I would add Faksa, Forget about the salary retain on Petry, change the second for a first .
Edit : something like that would make more sense I think. More money going to Montreal like that.
