wouldnt it be nice
Feel like Faulk with 1.5mil retained and a 3rd could get it done. Would rather keep that extra 1st
That Hronek contract worries me a tad too

If you're attaching a 1st with KK for FC.... Blues may come listening. Want Hayes in return instead?

Good Additions
Change the 2025 1st to your 2024 and it's closer. Jokiharju would be a decent add if we were able to trade Faulk.
If it must be 2025 1st, make it Kulich instead of Jokiharju and it would be closer

Necas trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AC14</b></div><div>Not sure I’d want to be on the hook for Necas at that extension point. It’s either going to be a very good contract, or a very bad contract. Really depends on where his consistency pans out at.</div></div>
I think it'll be a steal of a contract in a few years if he signs that. Still young and fits the core with Thomas and Kyrou. Top 6 of Necas, Kyrou, Thomas (all locked in 7+ years), Dvorsky, Neighbours, Bolduc (not even including the likes of Snuggy, Stenberg, etc.). I think it's a very solid top 6 long term

I think both will get very similar extensions. Even possible Buch gets 6-7 years instead of a full 8
Somewhere in the range of 7-8mil for both is what I'm expecting if anything

I don't mind a Buch for Necas swap as I think Necas would be a fit here. That part I'm fine with

This as well. The pieces we would want Vancouver probably isn't willing to give (even if we added 2nd round picks for them)

That's a deal that's bare minimum we'd accept WITHOUT retention
Robertson is fragile and cannot stay healthy. Not much interest. Mid/late first is just what it is. If it were higher, then maybe more thought. Just not enough in the deal. Should be easily beat out

offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AC14</b></div><div>I think it's just the nature of head coaching in the NHL. Unless you have a truly elite leader - Crosby, Toews, Bergeron that have such a presence guys are demanded to respect it, every head coach is going to get a bit stale and complacent. You can only change schemes so often, and in all reality every team tries to mimic what a winning team did the year before, or at least take a little part of it.
JR did take that and blow it out of proportion, unfortunately it's his job to get engagement, and he seemed to know what he was doing.</div></div>
Agreed. I honestly think if we have the likes of Kyrou and Thomas, we may see a philosophy change from the rough and tumble Blues to more of a speed and skill. Be curious to see if Bannister implements that or tries to keep a more physical game like previous coaches. JR has lost a little respect and credibility from me with the whole Kyrou situation but he still does a great job. Over time you just learn to forgive and forget, which I'm hoping this offseason Kyrou busts his butt and comes out swinging next year and makes that contract look like a steal

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AC14</b></div><div>I'm not sure I can agree with you on the off the ice portion. But his on the ice maturity has gotten better.</div></div>
I think JR just blew that whole thing out of proportion. We don't truly know what goes on in the locker room so can't say much about his off-ice attitude. But on the ice you could tell he grew a ton this year. I will say off ice, he seems to really love the city and doesn't want to leave. I just don't want to see fans trying to push him out just because they think he's the main reason Chief was let go. It was time for him to go if we are being honest. Team is entering a new era that doesn't fit how Berube wants to play (honestly don't know if his playstyle will fit Toronto).

The hate Kyrou gets isn't deserved anymore. It feels the same as it was with Tarasenko when he first started. He showed strides this year of being better defensively, but his offense took a hit (expected)
I can see him being a point per game player next season AND being a lot better defensively. I can see Blues fans loving him again next season. Just don't want to trade him because he's got the talent to be over a PPG player, and don't want to send him off and have him do that for another team

Would rather keep Kyrou
I've been on team 'keep Kyrou' this entire time. He's the type of player where we will trade and put up 100 points annually. Definitely don't want that to be in the division
