That last line will be awful to play against, they just added the bash Brothers lol... but this team is now my favorite to win the cup.adding middlestadt , walker, duhaime, trenin, getting nichushkin back and possibly kovalenko coming over. This team is unreal

Agreed lol I do like him though.. all in all I don't mind them trading a pick to grab a botom 6 rw, I don't like the options in free agency. That's all I was getting at with this trade

That's incorrect, Ottawa filled for arbitration and he can get as low as 7.65 mil on a 1 year deal

It does with an 8 year extension, I get he had a down year but all teams know he is capable of much more and he is only 24 years old... yes ottawa got him cheap but that was becasue of his contract status and the fact that he had all the leverage going forward. Of he comes with an 8 year extension I expect ottawa get equal to more value back on a debrincat trade

I dont think ottawa takes a second look at this deal, however I think if you swap ullmark for swayman they atleast look at it, pinto eventually will need more ice time then the sens can give him behind timmy and norris... grieg is also capable of playing the 3c. That being said it would be tough losing pinto... but it would be nice to finally get a goalie

To be fair to Friedman, there hasn't been many talking points of excitement this year with the Ducks. Terry repeated last year, Zegras spent more time at center, McTavish and Dostal both had promising rookie campaigns, Verbeek went 2 for 4 on guys he brought in (Vatrano and Kulikov worked, Strome and Klingberg didn't). Only other talking pieces are will they/won't they trade Gibson and will we land Bedard.</div></div>
I'm hearing the rumours swirling on gibby again, what's the word for the season ticket holders now

I think with an 8 year extension it has to be a forward that can impact now and I know lots of sens fans will say they won't trade in division but they will have to take the best deal possible and if thats detroit so be it. As for detroit fans Berger I'd a favorite and has upside but not 40 goal upside. I know it's hard to trade a young promising forward but this is more thenba fair deal for the cat with an 8 year deal.

I absolutely love pinto, he is great on the dot ... responsible on both ends of the ice, can play in all situations.... and in his first season put up 20 goals. I think he will be a really good 2c in his prime or an elite 3c and it kills me to lose him but with stutzle norris as our 1/2 I can't see us having the ice time or being able to pay him what he deserves after a 2 year bridge. Also having grieg helps swallow the loss a little I think he will turn out to be a great 3c

Sens fan here, am I the only guy that really like Jarvis! Very cost effective, can play in the top 6 as soon as next year, he may not ever reach the goal and point total the cat will but i think he will be a better two way tip 6 forward at a more affordable rate... id almost do 1 for 1 to be honest

Becasue he comes with an 8 year deal lol... ottawa got cat so cheap because he had 1 year left on a deal with a 9 million dollar qo for the next season... so even with a dip in production which should see a bump next season being that his shooting percentage was 4 % lower then his career average so we can look to see that even out which would easily makes him a 30 goal 75 point player with an even higher ceiling. I think its fair value if you get him for 8 years

As a sens fine id be okay with this return , a first, a very high upside prospect, and a top 9 forward that has shown sign of being a capable 2nd line winger. It's a good haul... and frees up some cap space to get a true number 1 goalie

So with that logic boston is a divisional rival so we would need to very much overpay for a guy like swayman.... and as for cat well ottawa may not have many options... sens will have to let teams talk extension with him and only then will they get any value back . If cat says ill only sign long term in Detroit we will be lucky to recieve this
