Just dreaming lol
Would you still do it if you swapped out Jonny Burgers with someone else? Zadina, Veleno, Kubalikma, Johansson maybe?

That’s why I’d top ten protect it. To be honest, I think the Bos pick will be better than Det but I’m a homer and probably a degenerate drunk so what do I know

I’d much rather lose a pick next year than this year. Number 17 this year could be the same quality as a top 10 next!

I disagree with them, I think the Det trade is realistic, maybe a little too high. I’d add top 10 protection on the 1st and maybe swap Berg with someone else but I’d prob still accept losing Berg

Yea, Det does that in a heart beat and probably adds more to get it done. 3 years in the KHL or not, Michkov is a special talent that would, in all likelihood, be first overall in 6 out of the last 7 drafts if he wasn’t Russian.

28 + 41 for 14? That’s even money based on the athletic trade chart.
41,42,43 is an overpayment in all the charts I’ve looked at.
I figured Pit’s pipeline was bare and three 2nds would be ideal.

Out of curiosity, as a pit fan, would you take three 2nd round picks: 41,42,43 for your 1st (14th)?

Yea, I think the ceiling is Higher for Mazur and his style of play is something Det really needs. I do think Schneider will stick as a solid top 4 guy to solidify the right side for years to come under Mo though.

Picks and discounts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>He wanted to come to NJ.
A qualifying offer amount is not a minimum AAV for long-term AAV.
It does not mean he will get $10m+ on any deal.
His ask was $9m...so he will likely come in somewhere in the 8's</div></div>
No, a qualifying offer is not the min AAV for a long term. It is however, the min AAV for a 1-year keep him a RFA deal. If they decide not to tender him the qualifying offer then he would become a UFA and be able to sign anywhere. If they both sign it, then at minimum, he would stay in NJ at the qualifying offer rate. They can always work out a different deal but Timo can also bet on himself and just take the 1-year deal.

Even his original ask was well below his QO amount.</div></div>
Or he could take a 1-year qualifying offer (I think it’s near $10 mil for him) then hit UFA next summer and take a massive 7-year deal with the team of his choice and a higher salary cap. Even if he has a down year, someone will pay him.

Yea, Wings pass on Puj. They have enough 4th line wingers.
Btw, if Bert would sign for that then he never would have been traded from Detroit. He’s looking for 7x7 and after his post season, he’ll prob get close

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Well, we're all just fans and some fans get crazy ideas when they get upset at a player playing bad with an injury. But the bottom line is, Winnipeg can't afford to move one of their 2 NHL RHD without an upgrade or replacement coming back.
So, it's not a question of whether the value is good or not, it's that to replace a top 4 RHD after Pionk is traded definitely costs more than a 2nd. Unless of course he's being replaced with an aging guy on the back 9 of his career.</div></div>
Would you take a Gus Lindstrom sweetener coming back? RHD 7th defenseman RFA

Probably but it’s a low risk move IMO. Love the guy but he’s a unknown at this point with his injury history. I could also see signing Killorn at 2x5.5 maybe pr a couple other guys too. I was trying not to do the common Cat trade for this one also, but that could be a real possibility

I’ve seen and posted this trade many times and, while opinions vary, the majority of WPG fans are in favor. To each their own though, I personally over value a lot of Det players, I thought Vrana could fetch us a 2nd minimum 🤷
