As a FLA fan, I'd sub in Weegar for Montour. Weegar is a giveaway machine in the playoffs and is a pending UFA.

Ekblad Hurt KMN FML
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>All I said was desperation caused by this injury could lead to the price in acquiring possibly any dman for Florida to go up. In this package you are trying to acquire both Giroux and Sanheim, with Giroux having half retention. For Giroux alone, we were probably looking at about or just under what Eichel got. Let’s just say for the sake of argument that that is Samoskevich, Tippett, Denisenko, and the second round pick. That would leave Heponiemi, Kiersted, and a third for Sanheim. Personally, I don’t think that Philly sells him that low. So Philly would shoot this trade down, and with a premium on defenseman, assuming that Ekblad is out long term, Philly could ask for more than what Florida would be willing to give.
And the Kuemper trade was just the most recent example of something like this happening, so it’s not like it never happens. People were expecting to Kuemper to go for only a first or a second, and he ends up getting the equivalent of a first and second.</div></div>
Then you should be GM not Chuck Fletcher considering the robbery FLA just pulled

Ekblad Hurt KMN FML
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>Like I said in a post about Chychrun, why should the Flyers not go and capitalize on the Panther's desperation? This would already be a blockbuster move, but with the possible long term injury to Ekblad, Philly could change the trade to force the hand of the Panthers. Lundell or Knight would more than likely be enough to tip the scales, but I know Panther's fans aren't going to like this, but just look back to what Arizona got for Keumper with Colorado. Colorado needed a starting goalie, Keumper was the last one truly available, and they payed a premium for him. Why should Philly not use the same methodology as that situation? Or do you think that Philly will be so naïve to take pity on the Panther's injury problem and not charge a premium?</div></div>
Dude we are literally giving Philly three first rounders and more

He's an asset, not a dump.</div></div>
Yeah that was a questionable trade on my part.

He had a hot start and then fizzled out. He was invisible against NYI in the play-ins. He's pretty invisible when he isn't scoring and he has a habit of taking penalties at the worst times. FLA needs a youth movement.

Yeah but the Yotes need to shed cap. Connolly makes sense for them and they need to give up someone. Think it'd be smarter to move Stepan rather than a big piece like OEL.

Only reason I didn't is bc DET is under the floor so this gets them up to the cap floor.

Best Case Scenario
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KakkoForMauriceRichardAward</b></div><div>I actually think keeping Dadonov would be better for them than keeping Hoffman</div></div>
Disagree. As a FLA fan (yes we exist), Hoffman has been far more consistent than Dadonov. Dadonov tends to get points in bunches, and usually doesn't do well when not with Huberdeau and Barkov. Hoffman has been a lot better. Hoffman is a better goal scorer. I feel like Florida is going to want to put Tippett with Huberdeau and Barkov, as a long term option, if those two stay. Of course this is the best case scenario. Hoffman almost scored 30 goals this year, and would've if not for COVID-19.

To be fair with all of these int rosters I'm doing, I added an extra 0 to the salary cap so the salary cap for my rosters is 10x that of the NHL cap

Trade with Anaheim
As a FLA fan, I'm fine with getting rid of Pysyk, but a 2nd and a 4th seem a little steep. I'd do a 3rd and Pysyk, take the 2nd and 4th out of the equation. Plus we need D depth. Without Ekblad, the defense looks like an ECHL team.

Panarin and Bob
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mhockey91</b></div><div>NHL players are subject to a “jock tax” AKA they are taxed based on where they earn their income. Ex. If Barkov is playing a game in New York, he’ll pay taxes to New York State. It is MUCH more complicated than that. Especially involving players from overseas and tax treaties etc.... I’m a university audit student and also worked for a tax agency in North America. It’s extremely complex even I don’t understand most of it. Basically, a good accountant will probably save you more than depending what state you live in. So if any NHL players are bored spending their offseason on cap friendly... hit my line... ;)
<a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jock_tax" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jock_tax</a></div></div>
Remember though that if Panarin signs in FL, FL has 2 teams. That means he is subject to FL taxes for 43/82 games as well as Canadian taxes for 10 games. If he goes to NY he is subject to the income tax there for games at home and against the Isles/Sabres meaning he would have to pay NY income tax in 44 or 45 games

I was gonna complain on how unrealistic the Barkov trade is but I realized it was pointless as this whole team is Finns. Also you should've got Rask for goalie.
