Yeah, but that was at the trade deadline. Still, my knee-jerk reaction of Woo plus two seconds is too rich. Woo, a second and a fourth is probably more like it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Two seconds is quite a good return for one year of Freddie, especially if Toronto are thinking of moving on from him. Change that prospect to Jett Woo and I think this trade is almost mandatory if Georgiev is in the fold,</div></div>
Andersen covers up a lot of warts for the Leafs. I know he wasn't as good this season, but I think fatigue might have been an issue. He reminds me a lot of Miikka Kiprusoff, in that the Leafs have ridden Andersen hard, he's bailed out the team on several occasions , but after a few years the play declines a bit. The Campbell deal should help that. I would look at keeping him. Also worth noting TOR is a very difficult city to be the #1 goalie in. His temperament is perfect for it.

Marner 4 Hall being realistic as possible
Any Hall for Marner deal is bad for the Leafs, he's 6 years older and his style of play and past injuries will see his value decline sooner than most guys. Just keep Marner or trade him for someone closer in age.

Completely agreed. I would guess that (b/c of fl tax breaks) that would value Marner at $9M-$9.5M based on Point's deal. That would be great for TOR :)

I'll admit, I don't pay attention to the analytics that probably prove he is worse than I think, but it shocks me to treat him as a bottom pairing dman. I'm not saying he is a #1 guy, but a good 2 or 3 was how I always felt about him.</div></div>
When a player has a high amount of blocked shots, it means that his team is always getting hemmed into their own end.
Ristolainen is at best a decent #4 D

Is this trade fair
No, Zaitzev is a cap dump in the eyes of Columbus and Brown doesn’t make up for the bad contract and get you Nuttivaara. 7th is well a .00001% chance of being anything more then a shot in the dark.
The retention on Brown doesn’t do much with how much cap room Columbus has and with how our D is Zaitzev doesn’t really do much but eat up our cap room.

Gee, I think the Wings are getting ripped on those deals. The Tampa deal, the picks aren't that far apart (in favour of the Wings) but the Wings are giving a young player for potential for a cap dump.
Ghost, Is he really that good? Cholowski has looked good and to give too picks too. Wings aren't making the playoffs next season. Keep the youngsters, the picks and the cap space.

If Kappy wants Sam Reinhart bridge money, where are his stats to prove it? I know Nylander wanted Draisaitl money despite his lower output too. This is where Dubas can't become Dumbass.
The only way Marner receives over 10 million is if he signs a long term deal, on a bridge deal (like I original posted), 8-9 million range for the 2-3 year deal.

Big trade with MTL
I really don't see any serious value coming back to MTL in this deal other than the 2nd rd pick...and let's be realistic here, sure Poolparty has potential. but when you look at NHL comparables, he's closer to MTLs Charles Hudon who really isn't worth that much (Poolparty 139NHL games played, 37pts. Hudon 110NHL games played, 39pts...)
Juulsen is still holds significant value imo. Despite his injury (of all the injuries you can attribute to bad luck, Juulsen hit the jackpot. Puck to the face, two times.. in the same spot...), he was showing signs that he could actually move up into the top 4 and not look out of place (when he was playing, Weber was still injured, Petry was on the 1st pairing, Juulsen on the 2nd.). and from the look of things, that's exactly where you intend to play him... So where is the value for a 22 year old NHL ready, potential top 4 guy? Then you add Shaw...and try and dump Russel on us? No thanks.

If that is the asking price, I would offer two good possession 4th line players, Girgensons and Larsson for Haula. I am asking this because I am responding to the trade above.
Please give me some feedback.</div></div>
I mean sure id do that. You're getting him for nothing. 4th line guys are replaceable for under 2 mill in FA. Having said that, no way does VGK give him away for nothing like that. Someone will give them something of value for sure.

4 Team Trade VEG EDM TOR OTT
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PhillDaThrill</b></div><div>VGK not Veg, laughs at this trade. Not only do they give up the best players in the deal with fair contracts, but also a 2nd? GTFOH!</div></div>
that must be some bias in that statement. Miller is not the best player in the whole deal. Kadri is and Kadri is on a far better contract. Also, you're forgetting that Vegas is OVER the cap. They're gonna have to pay more to get teams to help them get under the cap, hence the 2nd round pick. It actually makes sense from Vegas' side pretty well.
<a href="/users/Survivorking77" target="_blank">@Survivorking77</a> overall it's pretty good. 4 team trades are complex but it seems like you've got a handle on it. Ottawa loses a bit, but I think the win for them is adding the cap space while being able to give their younger guys roster spots this season instead. So there is some logic there. Leafs get what they need but still pay a hefty price. Vegas gets much needed cap space and an upgrade at 2C to slot Glass easily into a 3C role to transition better. Edmonton gets some much needed wingers while moving out some cap space. Assuming all the teams are in a good cap situation after this, it's fairly well thought out. Good work!
