<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SevenLeg</b></div><div>Whatever it takes to acquire Eichel, it's not worth it for Boston. A contender won't part ways with that much core pieces</div></div>
You think so? If the only roster players you give up for Eichel are Debrusk/Carlo, I think Boston should do that in a heartbeat regardless of what picks/prospects have to be included. They would be getting a young, franchise center to pair with Pasta and McAvoy for the future.

Pens Add Labanc
I think Pens would have to give up more to move Bjustad's cap hit. Maybe others see value in him but I'm really not a fan of Bjustad.
I could see Jarry being a fit in San Jose though, nice deal.

Andersson for Kylington is interesting...feel like Andersson would be better suited higher in the lineup though...4th line duties wouldn't be good for his development

take Smith to get Georgiev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ItWasIn</b></div><div>Andersen covers up a lot of warts for the Leafs. I know he wasn't as good this season, but I think fatigue might have been an issue. He reminds me a lot of Miikka Kiprusoff, in that the Leafs have ridden Andersen hard, he's bailed out the team on several occasions , but after a few years the play declines a bit. The Campbell deal should help that. I would look at keeping him. Also worth noting TOR is a very difficult city to be the #1 goalie in. His temperament is perfect for it.</div></div>
For the Leafs, I'd be vary cautious trading Anderson and bringing in a young backup goalie with no starter experience...Raycroft, Toskala, Bernier...too much disaster in recent history for the Leafs in the goalie position. This is the first time they have had a consistent goalie over numerous seasons in a long time. I'd rather ride out his contract while the team is competitive. You know what you are getting with him, Georgiev looks promising but like you said, he might not have the temperament for the position in TOR.

I think that deal is fair but I don't consider Niku has that high upside. 2 years ago I did but he is turning 24 this year and still hasn't cracked the Jets lineup regularly even after their defence was depleted this year. I think his time is running out to be impactful with guys like Stanley and Samberg coming behind him.

To resign Pietrangelo maybe?? Just a thought. I don't think Parayko is the cap casualty to resign Pietrangelo, I'd say a forward is more likely to go such as Bozak, Perron or Schwartz.

Would love to see this as a Leafs fan, Marner's asking price is outrageous to me.
Hopefully it gets announced soon and we start seeing some of these RFAs sign. Not good for the league to have all this incredible talent not playing.

I think Tierney for Palat would make sense. Tierney can replace that offense at half the price and can play centre. Also frees up a centre spot for Logan Brown in Ottawa's top 9</div></div>
He got a NMC so I doubt he waives it go to Ottawa.

The dude has put up 40+ points the last 4 years; hits and blocks shots like a machine. I know his +/- has been atrocious but he is on Buffalo, not a great team all around.
I'll admit, I don't pay attention to the analytics that probably prove he is worse than I think, but it shocks me to treat him as a bottom pairing dman. I'm not saying he is a #1 guy, but a good 2 or 3 was how I always felt about him.

I can't be the only one who thinks that Risto is highly undervalued on this site...I see so many mock trades that involve him that I feel his value is treated so low.
Risto for Ehlers 1 for 1 would be fair in my eyes.

YzerMan year 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aedoran</b></div><div>Yeah he started the season in Detroit and the offensive part of his game was great and he got sent to work on his defense. I don't know if Detroit would do it. I'm on the fence I think all the arguing with Winnipeg fans have made me more receptive to the idea. But at of the end of next season Detroit will loose 5 defensemen expiring contracts and retirement leaving DeKeyser and Bowey as the most experienced Dmen. I guess it depends on how worried Detroit is on that matter.</div></div>
They'll have the room to bring in a UFA or two if need be. I think Chowlowski should be part of their solution though. Hronek looked good late in the year and another year of experience will help his development. I'm also randomly a big fan of Joe Hickett's game, reminds me of Jared Spurgeon a bit (probably because of the size). I think he just needs an opportunity to prove he can play which he really hasn't had the opportunity behind the vets like Green, Kronwall, Ericsson. It'll be good for Detroit to move on from them IMO.
Also, I think it is a possibility Byram falls to Detroit at 6, which would be phenomenal for them.

That is definetly enough, I even think Detroit says no in this scenerio. Cholowski was a former 1st rounder who looked promising last year then add a 1st and 2nd to that, Philly got themselves a good deal here then.

TOR VAN WASH
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CD282</b></div><div>Gagner was the 4th leading scorer among Oilers forwards last year (P/60), if Ottawa has half a brain they'd jump on that deal. It's for 1 year, there's little to no risk.</div></div>
Not saying Gagner is thrash btw, he is overpaid as a 3rd line scorer and PP guru, but he can still play.
I'd agree no risk for Ottawa; but I think Ottawa would rather capitalize on their capspace and acquire meaningful assets for taking on contracts. Giving up a 6th to have a guy fill a uniform for a year is pointless imo.
