Rangers wouldnt take Anderson in return. If anything it would be MTL taking Goodrow and Laffy as a payment, NYR then resigns Tarasenko at a low values until Panarins contract expires or minus 1 year.
so it would be either be a singular high value pick going to NYR or couple of B prospects + low pick.

but hey, who knows.

i suspect Montreal will offer sheet more for Laff than taht bridge you have given him. If im drury i gamble and sign laff in the 3.5x5 neighborhood. Arguably an overpay but a contract like that is moveable if he doesnt pan out to the generational talent that we were told he would be.

as for Key... hes all over the board. good offensively but terrible defensively. The Key of last year would have gotten a long contract, luckily for drury he regressed immensely.

Schneider is too valuable to the rangers. IMO i think he is a better defensemen that Key but that is ignored because Key can shoot and score. Kinda like how EK will probably win Norris for having the most point but isnt a "defensemen".

Edmonton with Soup, Skinner and Ulmark is kind of a head scratcher. I know you are probably a Bs fan but Edmonton would either ask you to take Soup or find some 3rd team to take him IF they were to do Ulmark. Although, curious how Ulmark heals from his post season injury and how he plays behind a defensively liable Edmonton D.

Maybe quantity wise but not quality wise. Drury has contracts to sign, so a trade is better than a buyout.

if drury knows what good for him he will sign Lindy to an extension with equal term to that remaining on Fox. slight bump in pay. Lindy is the ketchup to foxy's french fries. Sure french fries are good by themelves, but they are better with ketchup.
