Boston Bruins signed Jesper Boqvist (1 Year / $775,000 AAV)
Hall, Zacha, Boqvist, Walsh, Grier, Bowers, Haula, Lazar…by 2027 NJD and BOS will have swapped entire teams
Good signing. Boqvist is very fast and can play any forward slot. Has remade himself into a bit of a forechecking center in recent years…spent a lot of time as Devils 3C last year. Has some skill, but don’t expect a big jump in points from last year.
Here is a nice little clip of Boqvist walking Pietrangelo

My guess is the fact that they offered him a 1-way vs 2-way deal.

Unlikely as he'll command much more than a 4C should be making, especially since now he's going to arbitration. This is the year for Marc McLaughlin or Johnny Beecher to try to establish themselves as a 4C, as they both have a good skillset for it.

Fun 2018 draft Trivia
As of today the Blues 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 7th round picks have played NHL games, they did not have a 1st or 3rd. Only the 6th round pick is waiting.
2- Scott Perunovich - should be full time
4- Joel Hofer - should be full time
5- Hugh McGing - could be depth for now
7- Tyler Tucker - should be part time
Bill armstrong is good.

Hellebyuck:
30 y/o, 1 year of term at 6.1m, then likely 8+
Rough average 60 starts, .920sv expected on a playoff team
Minimal injury history
Vezina contender
Saros:
28 y/o, 2 years of term at 5m
2 conseq seasons above 60 starts, slightly under .920sv on a mid team
Minimal injury history
Vezina contender
Or
Gibson
29 y/o, 4 years of term at 6.4m
Closer to 50 starts expected, .900sv on a rebuild team
A bit of an injury history but nothing seems bad?
Not a Vezina contender currently
I feel their acquisition costs are maybe all about the same - Gibson is solid to me but the other two I feel are a bit better. But you get term with Gibson whereas the others you have to pay up.
Interesting.</div></div>
One slayed McDavid and Draisaitl back in 2021
One carried the team on his back got them to playoffs than got hurt before game 1
The third's just your avg starter now
If I want to win now I say Hellybuyck but if I want to have a chance now and in future Saros

According to Frank Seravalli, the Canucks and Sharks has a deal in place involving a Myers-Labanc swap. Canucks save 1.25 mil in cap space and the Sharks get an RHD. Both have 1 year left on their contracts
