I considered him to be high end talent already. But him and Chabot alone aren't enough. But they have a few young guys who have the potential to step up. So we will see! So Norris, Steuztle, brannstrom type of guys have that potential.

well they have to do something. Any Tampa team I have made, regardless of who I trade, I get responses like yours. Tampa won't trade them or can't. They have to do something!
As for Detroit side of things, I think they should do it. Johnson can still play and is a good player and they get an amazing piece in Cirelli. Would help them out a lot.

If the Leafs do trade Nylander, I would want it to be for Ekblad. Overall I don't see this happening though.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kllnhookrs</b></div><div>Its definitely going to be challenging for the Leafs next season.
1) Hyman likely gets 5-6 years.
2) Andersen will either have a great year in which he'll get a raise + 4-5 year term OR he'll have another mediocre year in which the Leafs likely walk.
3) Barabanov won't re-sign for that.
4) Justin Holl has to get traded if he isn't going to play.
Those are just my thoughts. Not a criticism of your post.</div></div>
Thanks for your reply :)
1 - Yea I think Hyman will be 4-5 years. I don't see him getting 6. Dubas doesn't seem to be giving long contracts to older guys. 4-5 years 4.75-5.25m is what I see.
2 - We will see what happens with Andersen. I could definitely see them moving on from him and going with Campbell and another 2-3m type of young guy. Roll a 1A + 1B for cheap.
3 - I don't see a big role for Barabanov this year. So I gave him this contract based on him being a small part of this team this year. Money has dried up for bottom of the roster guys. If he outperforms this, then he will go to UFA.
4 - Holl could definitely be traded also. We will see what happens!

Ya I don't see many of t he teams who have cap space left, actually using it this year. Which will cause a lot of problems for a team like Tampa (and maybe NYI). Now a team like Detroit and Ottawa can use that to their advantage if they actually do use their cap space. Time will tell what will happen.

He has slightly negative value in this trade. Although he is still a very serviceable player. Cirelli and Serg are the value in this trade.

Agreed. Would be a perfect compliment to what they have now. If they can sign Haula, I think they should. But Tierny would be a perfect number 3C. They can make it work with the cap also.

Making Tampa teams always get responses like this. It's either "they won't waive" or "we aren't trading our RFA's". Something will need to happen.

Dumba Out Cirelli In

So essentially, the deal is Stone + 2nd for Dumba...</div></div>
Remember Stone was a deadline trade. They paid Brannstrom and a 2nd for half a year of Stone and signing rights before he became a UFA (Which worked in favor of Vegas). Versus Brannstrom and 2 x 2nds for 3 years of Dumba (And could still extend him like Vegas and Stone). That is a big difference.

I made a trade with Jokiharju yesterday. I like this option for both teams also.
Players have short memories. They would gladly unite. They go to war, leave it all out there and then they make amends. If they hated playing against Perry, it just means they will love to have him on their team.

As for Dermott I assume he will be anywhere what you listed him at (His QO) to 1.2m a year. I think he gets a one year deal. I guess 1x1. But I could see it going a bit higher like 1x1.2. We will see!

Anderson would need to be 725k for 2 years. League Min is 700k this year but it is 750k next year. So on a 2 year league minimum contract (which is what I presume he gets) will be 700k year one, 750k year two with a 725k AAV.
