Wild deadline

You actually think Boeser is worth a 1st, a player, and a prospect?

Staying competitive during cap hell

Thank you, both, for clearly having read the ACGM description.....

Year 1 of the real pain
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wildwinswhen</b></div><div>If this is next year, I'm happy with it. I think you're close on Kaapo. I don't see him making any more than that.
Also, If Fiala will take 7.5x5, I'd be ecstatic. But I'm expecting a two to three year deal.</div></div>
I would imagine with how the locker room has completely changed, the success the wild are having, and finally getting a linemate that he really gels with, I wouldn't be surprised to see Fiala take a 3 year deal around 6-7mill. (one comp is Buchnevich, who just signed for $5.8aav with similar production). That would mean Fiala is a FA right when the wild get $14mill in cap relief and he will only be 28yo. could easily get a 6x$8 at that point.

get eichel out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Amakoue</b></div><div>You aren't getting Calen addison with marco Rossi. Either way wild are no longer involved, interested</div></div>
** no longer involved at the current asking price. but clearly no other team is since Eichel remains with Buffalo. the statement that the wild are out is just posturing.

Kevyn Adams is off to a great start
it's been widely reported that the ask for Eichel is equivalent of 4 first round picks. why are you mocking up a trade that's higher than that when we know teams haven't even been allowed to see his medical records?! and then arguing with people who clearly know more than you about it in the comments? Big senators fan but seems like you're a sabres homer.

uhhhh, well it's been reported that the ask for Eichel is the equivalent of 4 1sts... your proposal is greater than that. so, be prepared to be disappointed in what the return for eichel is. Enjoy the lake.</div></div>

PSA to all Buffalo fans -- can stop mock trading dumba. After Suter buyout, he will be protected and isn't going anywhere this year.

Making moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caerii</b></div><div>So, basically, fourth liners...? You only have so many guys on ELC's you can use. For Minnesota, that's two at most.</div></div>
two at most? I'm assuming you're referring to Boldy and Rossi? and talking about this coming season?? the cap issue wouldn't be for this season, but 2, 3, and 4 years from now... You're already projecting that the Wild wouldn't have any other prospects that could be ready 2, 3, and 4 years from now? outside of Boldy and Rossi, you don't think Beckman would be ready anytime in the next 2-3 years? or Khusnutdinov? Khovanov? or even Dewar, Shaw, Duhaime, or Chaffee? The wild already have a pretty deep prospect pool, which means they could afford Eichel's 10mill and fill in the roster with ELC's that ARENT projected/actual 4th liners.

Making moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caerii</b></div><div>You can't acquire Eichel without moving Fiala if you want any kind of prayer at remaining competitive. You'd have 50% of the cap tied up in three players (40M for Eichel, Kaprizov, Fiala, Parise, Suter; not even mentioning another 18M for Ek, Spurgeon, Brodin) at that point for three years. You cannot ice a team with any depth whatsoever. You're filling in the gaps with fourth liners.</div></div>
"You're filling in the gaps with fourth liners"
No, you'd need to fill in the gaps with players making under 1mill/year...
