(VAN/CHI) - Beauvillier for 2024 5th (CGY/CHI)
Beauvillier played really good last year on a line with pettersson, but I dont see why you'd want him on that line over kuzmenko or mikheyev so he was doomed to the 4th line. Now they have cap space to make a move for a defensman.

Buffalo Sabres signed Owen Power (7 Years / $8,350,000 AAV)
I dont quite understand the deal. If he has a repeat or even better season, isnt pretty much the same deal still on the table in the offseason? and then at something like this which is near the max for a defenseman, couldnt get the 8th year?

(VAN/MTL) - Pearson, 2025 3rd (VAN) for DeSmith
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KSIxSKULLS</b></div><div>You a highly overrating them.
I put them in the 8-11 group (Add Detroit to that group). They aren't better than Nashville or Ottawa and aren't on par with those teams you mentioned.</div></div>
I'd put vancouver's high end with the 13-17 group, but their low end is potentially in the 1-8 group. I dont know if theres been a more bi-polar team the last 2-3 years

(VAN/MTL) - Pearson, 2025 3rd (VAN) for DeSmith
pearson when playing was pretty not good for a few years. Stats might say otherwise, but had the misfortune of watching alot of canucks games. I have no read on DeSmith as a backup, but if hes serviceable, im surprised it only cost the canucks a 3rd to get rid of pearson

all the money and all the years, or most of the money and some of the years. Toronto will never have the bargaining power with any player again

Tampa Bay Lightning signed Brandon Hagel (8 Years / $6,500,000 AAV)
I kinda like the deal to be honest. its a small sample size but 25 goals followed by 30 goals isnt nothing. The continuing problem is where are the lightning going to find the cap space? or next year is stamkos just gone?

(ANA/BUF) - 2025 4th (MIN) for Lyubushkin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>drambui</b></div><div>ok.... i still fail to see why that klingberg talk is relevant to what i said... i didnt comment on those forums nor did i said he was worth a first? so why bring up someone i didnt talk about? of course there is no guaranteed, like most thing in life, but players are still worth more at the deadline.
and all the guy you mentioned were also not traded in the offseason?
so like do you disagree that players are worth more at the deadline? do you think they are worth more now?
are you saying team were fighting right now to get a bottom 6 dman and that why he was traded for a 4th but at the deadline teams wont want bottom 6th dman so they offer will 6th max? is your whole point that ''there is no guaranteed''?</div></div>
You're not really debating in good faith. Your point is literally "trust me bro"

does it still count against the cap if a player is suspended? because that might be washingtons best hope long term with this contract

Ottawa Senators signed Vladimir Tarasenko (1 Year / $5,000,000 AAV)
I dont see how this is a bad deal. Even if Tarasenko regresses (a definite possibility) its 1 year, and theres not alot of other targets that this money could have been spent on. The upside of this deal is pretty obvious

on the upside, him playing bottom pair minutes will probably be good for him. On the downside, you're paying alot for a bottom pair defenseman

and only 1 year of that veteran at that. Also I feel like theres value in having a veteran thats played in a solid defensive system to compliment young offensive players
