Top 10 prospects
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Talking_Senators</b></div><div>I think it's too early to tell on Thomson, however, I wouldn't rank him above JBD. I like Davidsson, but I want to see what he can do in the AHL first. Like I said 9 and 10 can go to many different prospects</div></div>
I really like Thompson, and I think he's going to have a big season. Not to discount JBD, but I just think that Thompson has more offensive upside in the NHL. I think they'll both be top 4 for Ottawa.
Also when it comes to Davidsson, I'm not even sure if he will play in the AHL this season. I think he has a good chance of making the NHL squad right out of camp.

COLORADO TRADES rookie player SIGN PLAYERS

Nor should you. I wouldn't either. It was my SUPER unrealistic counter-offer to the original SUPER unrealistic offer. Formenton and a 1st round pick in one of the deepest drafts in decades for a 32 year old D man and an "okay" prospect who'd be playing outside of top 6 in Belleville this year? When I see trade offers like this I like to counter-offer this way in hopes of meeting somewhere back in reality.

For the record, I don't want Georgiev.</div></div>
he has 8pts in 18 games not even playing with talented guys plus some of those games were in the beginning of the season when he was still getting his feet wet. hes been great since he got called up. I think his floor is Kapanen and his ceiling is a 1st line winger

Sens fans - JGP and Demelo
I didn’t work it in here, but I suppose there could be a condition about Demelo re-signing with Canes too. Theoretically possible for one or the other to sign w the Sens in offseason.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Talking_Senators</b></div><div>Seems reasonable. However, I think Ottawa will sign at least one of them before the deadline.</div></div>

What the f*** is the price for Hall then? That's a lofty goddamn price, and I'd argue it's more than Ottawa got for Stone.

Rebuild continues next TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>AA at 50% retained is worth a guy with bottom 4 upside and a mid round pick. He's a very useful 3rd Line center, and at 2.275 he's coming in well below market value.</div></div>
Retained salary doesn’t add value to a team who has cap space, the only reason Sens would do that is just to keep cap compliant. This adds 0 value to any deal
Plus aa has been mediocre to bad for quite sometime now, and his value isn’t going to increase on a bad team either.
Brassard and a 6th cost a third from the avs, and they are pretty similar, and look at what soderberg was traded for and is Much better than A so exactly to my point you are not getting a 3rd and a good prospect

Need a second line center
Danault plus a 3rd is worth more then 2 cap casulties and a 1st and appleton.
I'd be willing to trade Danault for something more appeling
What about Danault + suzuki for Ehlers as a base?
Or Danault + 2nd for Vesalainen + a 1st and one of your cap dumps (kulikov/perreault) ?

Yeah, that or he starts out the year well, wants to be a backup on a contender, and we retain 50%. A lot needs to break right before I see Andy being traded.

You'd rather Lehkonen over a 55 point player who is a physical force and has exceptional speed? I like Lehkonen, but seems like at best a 35 point 3rd liner.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>Lol, must be a Habs fan. That is a ripoff by Montreal.</div></div>
Not a Habs fan, but a NYR fan. Not sure how it is a ripoff as Kreider would be a rental player. You want a 1st round pick that would be 20th overall or above? If I proposed Pionk for Trouba before that deal happened, you would have laughed at it and called me a bias Rangers fan. But, it happened.
Two draft picks, one becomes a 2nd if Kreider re-signs (okay maybe it may become 1st), and a solid starting player who is young and improving. That for a 29 year old upcoming UFA player. Not a ripoff.

Chaos is a Ladder A Melnyk Style Rebuild

Both are on IR which means insurance covers a majority (80%) of their contracts. Ridding themselves of both players would actually cost the team more money because they would have to reach the floor without both MacArthur and Gaborik's cap hits.
& pls.. no Zaitsev.</div></div>
Good point. Wasn't considering insurance impact at all.

Minor Re-Tool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>johnnyu22</b></div><div>I dont understand the talk of Littles contract being bad. Hes had over 40 points in 6 consecutive seasons playing 2nd/3rd line. The market for 2-way centers who can score at that rate is incredibly high (Kevin Hayes just signed for OVER 7 million and has similar year over year numbers to Little, if not slightly worse.) They are in a tough spot that can easily be fixed because they have NO cap-draining players who provide little value, other than perhaps Kulikov, who is a decent 5-6 D in his own right.</div></div>
Hayes is a terrible contract, Fletcher well over payed on that and absolutely will not work out. Little is a 3 C nothing more, 40 pts is 4 mill on the high paid end

What do you think it takes to acquire Ehlers
From an Islanders perspective, I'd give WPG Scott Mayfield, one of Kieffer Bellows, Sebastian Aho or Bode Wilde and our 1st or 2nd round pick this season. Also willing to swallow Kulikov's contract
