Fire dorion
I think the most ridiculous part is that almost immediately after, they cleared Ottawa of any wrongdoing. To now, almost 2 years later punish them that hard, they must have gotten some really good proof of Ottawa leading them on that Dadonov didn’t file his NTC. I know I’m a homer but I would’ve thought a 2nd and maybe a fine would have sufficed, but I guess we don’t really know the proof they have of the wrongdoing. Just weird timing as well, couple months after the team sells, Gary didn’t want that price to drop lol plus the whole Chicago covering SA getting less of a punishment, and Arizona getting so heavily punished for working guys out, I have no idea what the standard is for this league. Also sounds like Vegas kept making a big stink about it, kinda lame

Helping OTT Sign Pinto
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensonfire</b></div><div>If Kylington returns at any point during the season, Ottawa assumes his cap hit.
That would put Ottawa over the cap.
Of course, you wouldn't care because it wouldn't be Calgary's problem anymore ...
Ledge_And_Dairy is also trying to talk some sense into you and you're not listening ...</div></div>
Again, so what!? A Healthy Kylington > Brannstrom and Kubalik
I clearly said it allows the Sens to get Pinto and the lineup and gives them more time to make other moves that are hopefully more favourable than having to pay to dump a player. The likelihood of Kylington returning is not very high imo
It’s a Fair Trade in my eyes, but you’re free to think of it however you like, no sweat off my sac

only problem i can see from van's perspective is they basically dont get any cap savings from doing this.
however, i think it would be a big win for them

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMDannyB</b></div><div>I meant first full year on one team. It’s almost as if a 23 year old kid moving across the country might take a small toll on him lol. He was barely getting any minutes on Tampa hence why he was at 0.5 PPG in those 21 games in Chicago but only 0.2 PPG in Tampa</div></div>
Your last sentence completely defeats your narrative of being traded hurting his numbers that you had in the first two sentences of that post.
Okay, so you want to give him a pass on that season and call 74 games "not a full season" so that you can compare his 5th year pro to Pinto's 2nd pro season and say that Raddysh is better. A 6th year pro winger who scored 20 once, compared to a 22yo C who scored 20 in the NHL in his first full pro season....... when Raddysh didn't score 20 in the AHL at the same age.
Raddysh isn't a bad player, but he's not the player or prospect that Pinto is by a long shot.

What? If Pinto has a higher ceiling.... How does Raddysh have more value? Pinto scored 20 goals as a rookie. Raddysh was something like 23 when he scored 20 goals.... Not sure how you figure he could potentially have more value than Pinto? Pinto has team control for another 5 years.... Raddysh only 2.... He also has arbitration rights... Pinto doesn't... Making Pinto far more valuable.

This isn’t awful in aggregate value IF Ottawa wanted to trade Pinto and for quantity, which is doubtful
It would also require that they’re high on Raty

I’m saying the GM should be wise and avoid the situation altogether by moving cap to make room for them to come to a fair agreement. You never mess with a man’s money and I guarantee you Pinto won’t forget it if the GM slights him</div></div>
Sorry I disagree paying a guy with less than 100 NHL games 4 years from his draft, who is less than .5 ppg player, who has no real leverage almost 2 per million for 2 years is this massive insult, but that's my opinion. He's been a 36/82 guy in his career so far. Will he get better yeah would it be nice to lock him up long term yeah but sometimes you just got to do what you got to do. Paying someone to take Joseph for example hurts you more in the long run possibly.

Trading every player one-for-one for similar alternative
I feel like there's sort of a rivalry between the Devils and Sens fans about who's better Hughes or Stutzle. But I also think both fanbases are getting to the point where we're just like these are two very similar players and both are incredible, no point trying to decide who's better.

Question
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Talking_Senators</b></div><div>Fair points. I do like JBD and I do think he could become a good bottom pair defenseman. It also depends on a potential return for Joseph. However, personally, I'd rather lose JBD than Joseph. And of course giving up assets to get rid of Joseph would be idiotic at this point. Anyways, remains to be seen.</div></div>
Joseph's game is such that the Sens should not be giving up assets. People in CF see an issue and think their team will get a good player, a strong additional asset for nothing. No. Joseph comes with term.... and that is worth something. The contract isn't Josh Amderson bad by any stretch.
I see something similar to the Paul for Joseph deal frankly. A slight downgrade, but not so much so as to do determental harm.
I was looking at Winnipeg and David Gustafsson. Young, contract control, bottom 6 forward..... that kind of idea. The issue with the Jets is where on earth does Joesph play lol. Their forward core is very very balanced, so I doubt Chevy would bit. But the construct is the important thought there.
