Hockeybuzz anything is pure rubbish.
They fabricate rumors out of thin air and say it’s from “sources”.

2nd Wings not trading 2 1st and a good defenseman
3rd Wings will be pushed up against the cap with Larkin aand Bertuzzi to resign next year.

After the last 3 days of free agency, Wings do not have the cap space to trade for Petry and sign Larkin and Bertuzzi next year.
Plus Wings do not want Petry, geez you think this would die by now

Klingberg
If Klingberg would be ready to sign a 6.5x6 in Canada, he would’ve already signed in Dallas. I’d say 7x7 in Dallas so like 8-8.5x7 in Vancouver to get him give or take.

When Wings fan say they are good at RHD, it means we have to NHL defensemen, but they do not have much in farm system ready to.move up. So I doubt they use Hroenk as a piece to get a LHD

I doubt either team does the Dallas trade. There is no way Detroit offers up Bertuzzi that cheap and yes he is a UFA at the end of the season but Detroit isn't going to have a problem resigning him.

Can Studnicka even be considered a prospect anymore? Seven points in 37 games, no longer waivers exempt. At best he's an AHL player...

Habs try for Debrincat
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jonh514</b></div><div>Look at the return for Fiala. The prices are not what you think they are.</div></div>
<a href="/users/TampaBayLightning22" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@TampaBayLightning22</a> is right.
First off Fiala couldn't be signed by Minnesota.
Secondly, DeBrincat has a career PPG of 0.83 and he's 8th in Goals in that time league-wide. While Fiala is 0.67PPG and while he might have proven he can be a PPG player, DeBrincat has proven he can score goals (and is one of the best).
That's going to make him more valuable than a player with a similar PPG like Nylander, and with their cap situation Chi doesn't need to move him. The only thing that might worry interested teams is his QO but a team trading for him is probably a playoff hopeful/former rebuilder team with cap.
So don't just expect DeBrincat to get his market value in a trade but more.

So moves have to be made. Probably Killorn and Sergachev are the ones who will be out the door.</div></div>
And that is likely McDonagh's comment to Tampa's management if they even asked him to waive his NTC. "Need cap...don't sign Palat, and/or trade Killorn or Sergachev."

2022 Petry trade
Instead of giving up 3 picks for 6.25m Petry, Dallas can go into the UFA market or pick up other players teams are trying to offload for cap purposes.(Burns or Barrie),
Players like Petry, have little trade value....even if there on ice value is fair to good,
Look what you did....want three picks for Petry 6.25m X 3 just so you can sign Letang at 7.25m X 3. The logistics doesn't doesn't make sense at all.

MALKIN SIGNS WITH LEAFS TO WIN A CUP
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TML_Tika</b></div><div>You are right that Malkin is not signing that to stay in Pittsburg.......but will sign it to move to Toronto and win another cup while the Penguins need to rebuild.
Carolina has room for Muzzen and his veternan leadership with Jake Gardner and Bear being moved out.......Chicago of course will take Marzek as they need a goalie period and are in no hurray to compete as they are in a rebuild period.</div></div>
The penguins would have already signed Malkin if he only wanted that, Toronto isn't his hometown or anything, he doesn't have any attachment to Toronto so he has no reason to take a discount, he'll probably sign in washington if not pitt.
Carolina is not taking a cap hit in muzzin, they have leadership and they're not going to pay 6M to aguy who will be a third liner for their team , there is no point in chicago taking a goalie that had a rough season for so little, no point

Yeah, i think there’s about four of five of these salary figures i used which are a bit low. Of course, an alternate in net could be Campbell for $5M and anyone else they could get for $1M.

I could see them buying out Mrazek but I wouldn’t want the dead money on my books when Mathews hits UFA status. I think the move they have to make is a Nylander trade. Maybe they could make a deal with someone like Nashville who is at risk of losing Forsberg. Maybe they would be desperate enough to move Tomasino. I’m not saying they should, but I could see someone making a deal like that in an attempt to stay relevant.
