Trade Deadline - VAN and EDM fans, feedback please
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oilersfan55</b></div><div>If Latest comes back to the oil in the offseason then yeah it's a deal.</div></div>
So maybe a conditional 2nd in 2019, the condition being that if Letestu signs with the Blues, EDM gets the blues' 2nd in 2019, if Letestu signs with another team, EDM gets Blues' 4th rd in 2019, If Letestu signs with EDM, no picks are exchanged.
P.S. thanks for the feedback everyone.

Lines with injuries
I think it's a bit of a numbers game with Thompson and I don't believe we put one of Sundqvist, Thorburn, Bennett, or Jaskin down in the minors. He'll be the first injury call-up though. I think we shelter Dunn to start off and the best way to do it is to put him with Borts on the third pairing, plus Gunnar and Parayko have past chemistry together.

Thread:
AA for D-man
I see where you guys are coming from, but my reasoning behind not doing that is that it's kind of against the unwritten rules GMs have for conducting business. If you offer sheet a player when the other team has no chance of matching unless they trade someone else in a salary dump, you're basically asking for that team to do the same to you down the road. And with guys like Fabbri and Ed coming up next summer along with other prospects in the future, I wouldn't take that chance personally.
As for the money coming back to Detroit, Mike your math is wrong, it's 2.8M coming back like AK said. I think we could even take Jaskin out and that bumps it down to 1.8M.

Pens 3c
I like it, although I think we would have to add a little more. Probably a mid round pick or a 2nd tier prospect. Helps both teams though so good thought.

Trocheck to the Blues
I really like the idea and think it's possible but I think we would probably have to add more, maybe Schmaltz? Overall, i like it though.

Tavares (with description)
Thanks for the feedback all. I agree that Tavares is most likely staying with the Islanders but had to play with the idea because of the outside chance he doesn't (and I'm super bored and ready for the season to start). And I also see where AK and Conor are coming from in pairing Tavares in Tarasenko and we would definitely try that first but my thought for the lines was that during the playoffs it seems like you really need two lines that are offensive threats and it would be a lot harder to matchup against us if we split them up. I also just don't see JT and Vova having that great of chemistry but we'll probably never know for sure. I could really see it going either way though if we were to get Tavares.
Again, thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate it.

Armstrong said Parayko not willing to play for the love of the game anymore
Armstrong saying that was supposed to be taken as a joke, he didn't actually mean anything by it. Armstrong, at the beginning of the offseason said that they would match any offer sheet that Parayko might sign, so I don't think 7.5M is something the blues would not be willing to pay. STL is probably going to sign to a 6x6 deal and he would be one of the last players to be traded by the blues. Only way he is traded is for a number 1 center and Johnson is not that.

201-18 Penguins
No way Parayko signs for that little and even if he did, Blues would match right away. I also see Dumoulin getting 3M more and that's a slight underpayment for Schultz. Duchene would most definitely cost more to get as well. The Elliot signing would be smart for Pittsburgh though.

Carolina fans is this enough for 12th OV?
What about Steen and the Washington's 1st (27 OV) for Carolina's 1st (12 OV) and Stempniak? gives you a top six forward who is also a veteran that can mentor your young forwards and there will still be a potential top 6 forward at 27.
