How does Tre address the blueline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nightowl26</b></div><div>Isles would decline....We gave up the 13th overall pick for him. He's a 23 yr old Top 4 Dman who likes to throw the body.</div></div>
That's fair, I wouldn't consider him a top 4 guy on a contender - that could change as early as this season though

They'd probably just bury him in the Marlies and he wouldn't report

I genuinely wanna free up a spot for Timmins, I bet he turns into a top 4 guy. You could do it without trading anyone though

I think Timmins is a top 6 D, if I would rather have Liljegren I probably wouldn't have made that trade right? Gio is chilling as Tre's special assistant

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Makes you wonder why you want him so badly? I guess because he's very good.
A 1st 2 drafts from now doesn't carry a ton of value for a team wanting to compete now. A 2nd is normally a 2nd, but this one is 3 drafts from now, so very little value. Swayman is alright, but goalies don't carry a lot of value. Definitely not enough to get you into the discussion for a 1C. Frederic is 25 and has been disappointing his entire career, he has no value. Every team has replacement level players by the bucket full.
So, yeah that's an awful offer.</div></div>
I'm not even a Bruins fan, this is a fair offer for a player on an expiring deal who put up 68 points last season

Ideally but I don't see the Bruins adding a top 6 C without making a trade like this. Bs don't really have anything of interest to CGY, Sway/Ullmark is their biggest trade chip and Calgary is probably the only other team as deep in net

I'd like to think St. Louis doesn't do this as I'd hate for the Bruins to add Schenn and Parayko essentially for free
I believe Parayko has a lot more value among NHL GMs than he does on this site

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Quillanrocks</b></div><div>Fair or not, the 1st Rounder is the only thing I think Francis might be prepared to part with from that deal, IMO. And you nailed it, an agreeable contract extension would be a must.</div></div>
I hear you but I think Nylander will be much better than Wright for 2-3 years at least, we'll see after that. Liljegren is more of a bet if you believe in his talent, I think he's better than given credit for. Nylander with an 8 year extension and Liljegren still under team control for Wright and Larsson I think is a good deal for both teams depending on where Seattle believes their window is. They have a lot of cap space coming up and lots of great Cs to add next free agency to complement Beniers. More leaned to Toronto's side due to their needs but I don't think its a bad trade for either team and over time could potentially end up being a fleece for Seattle.

Not assuming this is realistic but
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Quillanrocks</b></div><div>Most of it comes from the idea (falsehood) that Wright's been a disappointment, beginning with his falling in the draft and then second because he didn't tear it up his first season---even in a 24 game playoff showing with Coachella.
Second, it's the idea Seattle absolutely <em>needs</em> a gamebreaking winger, despite being 4th in league scoring last year and having solid depth in that position, already.
Then ultimately it comes down to teams out there who see an easy fit for the trade they fear needs making due to financial restraints. . . . "What, a team with cap space, oodles of picks and a top prospect---yes please!" . . . "While we're at it, we'll take that affordable shutdown RHD from you too, please and thank you!"
Not saying Nylander isn't a good player and Francis shouldn't look into him, but seriously doubt he entertains moving Wright and Larsson to do so.</div></div>
I think without the first coming back and a Nylander extension with a single digit number, this is a pretty fair deal

They get a young RHD back as well who could be a #4 as soon as this season.
Nylander also may sign an extension, I'm sure that would be the idea from Seattle's end
