Nucks
Your logic is correct concerning Tierney, but Ottawa can get as good as or better than, the pick you're offering, and without taking back a bad contract.
Ottawa says no

What would a fair trade for Jake Virtanen look like
I wouldn't bother. He's better than Watson, but he isn't pushing any forwards out of the top 9, and he isn't suited to playing on the 4th line. Don't really see a spot for him, and it's only going to get more difficult for him as more young forwards come into the lineup.

Team was struggling completely and their best center Chytil got injured so people had to move up and Trouba was playing better but now he's injured and now no one know how long Panarin will be gone for. The lack of depth has really killed this team and the veterans are not really stepping up

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ThatGuy</b></div><div>The PP looked really good last night... Just a matter of time before it's starts going in again.
Don't think Dzingle brings much to the PP.... I might have him on PP2
Also, you got to keep Batherson on PP1.. Wayy tooo much skill and vision to have play the last 30 seconds of a Powerplay</div></div>
Agree with Dzingel. Solid player, but he doesn't have the high level talent to play top unit ahead of other forwards. Great complimentary talent and would fit well as a PP2 guy, but lacks the shot, vision and passing abilities of guys ahead of him like Stützle, Dadonov Norris etc. His speed would definitely be an asset on zone entries though.

Option B: PANIC!!!!
Just kidding. The highs and lows that Habers and Leafers go through must be horribly exhausting. Y'all have a fine team. Maybe not as good as the record through the first ten games or so was, but probably not as bad as the record in the past few games has been.
At least your GM hasn't waived one of your top 3 or 4 forwards to "Send a message!".

Apparently they are signing Galchenyuk
Hmm, going to have to think on this a bit, lol
The good news is, with so many good young centres in Ottawa, Galchenyuk shouldn't be pushing for a centre spot.
I'm going to say, this shouldn't be too bad, lol

Insulation. He's a good 'veteran' to have in the room. That, and we need to expose people to the Seattle expansion draft. A 2 year deal won't hurt because his value is still high at the deadline.

At 5, they'd be guaranteed to get Drysdale (who's comparable is Makar). Would you trade Makar for Laine? Absolutely not.
But I get that Makar is an established NHL D and Drysdale is not, which is why Ottawa might need to throw in a sweeter. so I'd Say
OTT: 5OA + B level forward prospect
Win: Laine</div></div>
Not bad, but I highly disagree with your statement of "Winnipeg doesn't need Byfield/Stutzle". They need a second line centre just as bad, if not worse than a defenceman (they have Samberg and Heinola coming up).

That is way more than I'd be comfortable giving up to get Laine. He's got some great upside, but he's such a flawed player, there's no way I'd pay the huge price tag on him
