<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jdfitz77</b></div><div>Literally EVERY TEAM IN THE LEAGUE has young players who have recently been drafted in the 1st round, and future 1st round picks

Let’s say the Sabres “must have” a high quality Center back in the deal. Just bc NyR (for example) doesn’t have one, it doesn’t mean they can’t offer pieces that push up the offer that say LA would have to make

You’re making assumptions about things you’re just guessing on
But even if there are just 5 teams that really want Eichel &amp; are bidding against each other- that’s still gonna drive up the already high starting price for him, &amp; result in a really great haul for Buffalo most likely</div></div>

Lets try this again, any trade involving Eichel will most likely involve a few prospects and 1 if not more 1st round picks. Any team that is rebuilding would be dumb to move first round picks so that knocks out DET, ANA, OTT, SJS and NJD. I'd put the Kings there but thats hit or miss because I still think they have a few years before they can really contend so more seasons of high picks that would be a mistake to trade. Then you have to knock out teams with 2 high quality centers so EDM, PIT, TOR, TBL, WSH, WPG and STL. Teams with no cap space NYI, VGK. You also have to assume that Buffalo doesn't want to trade him within their division so there goes BOS, MTL, and FLA.

After all of that you have 12 teams
NYR
PHI
CAR
CHI
DAL
NSH
CBJ
COL
MIN
VAN
CGY
ARI

I dont see what team there would want Eichel and could drive the price up against the Rangers besides Colorado and it doesn't seem like something Sakic would do

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>broadwayblue_89</b></div><div>Imagination land is believing that Eichel is happy where he's playing LOL I also CLEARLY stated that i don't want him, and NYR is better off with their prospects, and also CLEARLY stated that IF anyone gets him its NYR or LA taking a step further to say NYR was in the best position. But hey man, I guess you hear/read what you want in imagination land.</div></div>

I was gonna say realistically If I'm the kings I'd rather stand pat with the prospects that they have at C because they already have a two if not more future 1Cs than trade one of them plus more to Buffalo for Eichel, because there rebuild has barely started, they are gonna need more prospects and their first round picks are going to be high.

Whether or not Sabres fans want to admit it or not they will not be making the playoffs for at least 5 more years considering their team and the division they play in. So Eichel is not going to wait for them to help him anymore he will probably request a trade either this off season or next season. He won't be there for much longer. Along with that I just dont see how any team but the Rangers could realistically work out an eichel trade with picks prospects and cap space. Which is why the price is probably gonna be lower than what Buffalo fans want

Most likely
Chytil
Kravstov
Schneider
2 1st round picks

Who else are you gonna trade Eichel to who is willing to give up picks and prospects and the cap space. Most contenders can't afford another 10 Million and rebuilding teams don't trade firsts. So Buffalo isn't in the best spot here
