Risky haha, don't think Rielly and him would work well though. Rielly barrie and PK on a team means one has no PP time unless you run 2 on 2nd unit too.

Yeah 100%, wasn't intending on arguing that, just stating that in the post. Kreider is closer, but still not the same think imo

Flip bracco for a pick or goalie. Don't think that gets you Clifford either.
Larsson could offset rielly's D troubles, so i like that!

Absolutely agree, it's not at all the same. Though, its still bad for completely different reasons.

This does't make sense for either team, Nylander is a key piece in Toronto now and moving forward (best contract on the team) and they are in win now.
For NYR you're overpaying (albeit quantity/quality argument) and their pick will be too high for this to workout. They need to ice a team still.

Faulk Fabbri Hutton
Muzzin for Faulk doesn't make much sense. Faulk may be right handed but brings none of the things TOR should be looking for, especially sending out the better guy in his own zone

That's high hopes for a team with that D and depth

Possible but he's LH and Lil is 100 percent NHL ready. He plays both and Babcock has stated he isn't a fan of offside D, especially offensive ones.

Do you watch marlie games? His skills are very intense and his vision is as good as marners in my opinion.
Hopefully this link works, this is insane. Also Bracco is only 1 month older than marner.
<a href="https://mobile.twitter.com/search?q=Bracco%20&src=typed_query&f=video" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">https://mobile.twitter.com/search?q=Bracco%20&src=typed_query&f=video</a>
Might have to click on videos to get it to come up...
Insane edge work.</div></div>
I do watch some Marlies games, he's the QB for the powerplay and is very fun to watch control the O-zone. Funny enough I'm actually the same age as Bracco and he dated a girl I know here in Windsor. He was a really good figure skater growing up and it's definitely translated very well (Much like Skinner). He has a high talent level for sure, but I think the translation for him will likely be a lot harder than you expect. Wish him all the best but saying he has Marner vision is asinine considering Marner put up the assists of Bracco in a far and above better league.

I'm not as high on Bracco as you, he's a solid passer but has many things to work on beforehand. He's also older than Marner and almost as old as Willy, the marlies instead of leafs aspect makes him look more promising imo. Hope you're right though!

Agree, I'm Nylander's biggest advocate. I just think it's likely better to have him rip it up with Auston and still have him as a great replacement for injury or anything like slump-busting for another C.

Like the Honka and Miller ideas. Don't think the isles take Zaitsev but someone will. Johnsson obviously plays in that spot over Petan if not traded (Mik likely if he's moved for all futures) and Lil probably plays over rosen so dermott can slide back to LD until muzz is gone.

I don't think Nylander likely plays C. He's a great fill in or if you want to alter a lineup but I can't see them keeping him anywhere consistently except flanked to Auston

Roy probably wasnt in the budget and smith doing it for the minimum
As a Leafs fan, I can tell you Smith probably isn't as bad as it looks. He's good with you guys and players love him. I wasn't a huge fan but I feel as though a lot of it was the Babcock dynamic as I live in Windsor and watched him coach much differently. He'd fit the Sens for the 3 years he's signed and likely move on afterward, Roy wouldn't exactly be the greatest anyways. You'll have a few extra mill to spend on players now anyways since Melnyk probably has an internal cap for the whole operation.

I'd see them going for Lemieux before Lindgren as well. Leafs have a hump year cap wise, after this year things loosen up a lot (Still not easy to fit everyone, but most competitive teams don't have room)

Screw Paul Marner
I love Marner but anything over 10.5 you take the 4 firsts and sign a big name FA. (If unsigned still they could turn around and offersheet Point just under 10m and Tampa either can't match and we lose much less picks than we gained or we cap strap our biggest competition next year.)

Screw Paul Marner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PuckPal</b></div><div>Exactly and the league took Kane's contract as an isolated situation seeing Teows took 2 million less on the premise that it went to Kane. Also, Panarin is going to be closer to 9.5 on a 7 year deal especially seeing he has rumoured to be only interested in a NY market and has only really 1 team bidding from that matket.</div></div>
The TSN and Sportsnet media brainwashed people to the Marner is the greatest player of all time, it doesn't even make sense. Nylander was slandered last year for asking more than the leafs wanted to pay and Marner in the exact same situation is being lowballed and undercut by the leafs. Marner is an excellent winger, and hopefully, he's a life long leaf. That being said, his closest (Highest) comparable is Draisitl when he signed for 8.5. With inflation that is still under 10 million. Mind you he also plays C a lot and was considered to be extremely overpaid by many for the year that followed.
