Jack asks for a trade
undervaluing murray in both the trade and extension. highly doubt the pens will send a pick back. give them a first, maybe a good second straight up and it's possible. i'd also be very surprised to see him sign for less than 5-7 million annually. not many other 2 time champions at the age of 25 on the market, you're gonna have to pay a premium

murray & simon will cost more than that. <em>might</em> be able to get jarry and mccann to sign for a bit less. i think bjugstad gets dumped before horny but if the cap is a problem they could move both, although i would like a foward in return for a least one of them
if jj gets 3.25 million i would have to imagine a fa at 2.4 will be a downgrade. i still think we'll have to give up an asset to get rid of him. i would almost prefer to hold onto him for one more year & give seattle a pick to take him in the expansion draft

PIT MIN
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>brgh4life</b></div><div>Dahlstrom for Galchenyuk is a wash, so you would trade the Pens top Defensive prospect and a 3rd for a 4th line center? If you include this year and last year at 5v5, lowry only has 6 more points than bleuger, tied in goals, in 500+ more minutes. That would be a massive waste.</div></div>
yea i would. calen is a few years away from the nhl. he'll probably need a few more years on top of that to become an impact player. this is definitely an overpay but it feels like the framework of a gmjr deal. maybe give us someone a bit better than dalhstrom & drop the pick a round or two
i think the pens could definitely use both lowry & bleuger. right now lowry could fill in for bjugstad, & possibly even clear the way for them to dump his contract in the offseason. i also believe that having one of lowry/bjugstad/bleuger on the wing would be an upgrade over what they're getting from galchenyuk on both ends of the ice. furthermore, this would give them some extra cap space to bolster the roster with rentals

This post really shouldn't be taken too seriously. I mostly just eyeballed the value on these trades. If you ever wondered what the Pens would look like if they continued to add physical players and make trades that are perceived as net losses by the fans, this post is for you.

Playoff Lines I Would Prefer
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>Zar may not play. I heard he was still day to day. Same as Dumolin.
I really don't consider Horny a physical presence. He isn't exactly a hitter, he's not big enough. He just takes a pounding in front of the net and people confuse that with physicality.
I have always been a big for of your best hitters being forwards. They have more room to rome and more opportunity to hit.</div></div>
Well, Horny does have 150 hits this season. I agree with what you're saying about his work in front of the net but he can lay the body in other areas of the ice. As for ZAR, this whole debate is assuming that he's healthy. If not, then Wilson will dress in his place.

Already have ZAR, Horny, JJ, and Gudbranson. They'll definitely have a physical presence if Wilson is the odd man out. If they really need him, Blueger will sit. However, that's assuming that the lineup stays healthy throughout the playoffs, which is wishful thinking. He'll get a chance to play.

They need people who can bang back. It's also why I think you see JJ instead of Maatta.</div></div>
Simon deserves to play. He gets a lot of hate for not being an adequate scorer but he's an elite possession player and he had a really good season defensively.
