The difference between the player you can draft at number two isn’t that much better than the player at number nine in this draft. I wouldn’t give up number 16 to make that happen either. Only Bode Wilde is worth anything in the Isles deal, Forget the Flyers trade and the Oilers deal, both are awful for Buffalo. If they’re going to take JVR’s contract Philadelphia is paying for the privilege, not getting a good physical young defenseman like Fitzgerald.</div></div>
Do you understand what cap dumps are? And Cooley is substantially better than whoever we get at 9

A player most of you want rid of and may very well want out himself isn’t going to get you some amazing return. Two top six forwards and a Dman who can play either side of the ice plus a 1st and a 2nd is about what you’ll get

The Nashville trade is interesting, I can see that.</div></div>
Stranges is a fantastic skater with a great shot. I’m confident he will be better than Olofsson

His defensive play is superb and he has just as much potential as a goal scorer. Olofsson is a PP specialist who’s overrated by our fans because we’ve watched crappy players for years and decided to overrate him

Chychrun In Quick Out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McRanteskog</b></div><div>There are numerous examples of good teams getting bad goaltending (both EDM goalies, Grubauer in SEA) and bad teams getting good goaltending (Kuemper in ARI for a number of years, Forsberg in OTT this year, Stolarz in ANA).
Bad teams don’t always = bad goalies
Good teams don’t always = good goalies
Quicks been bad for 4 consecutive years</div></div>
Edmonton has bad goaltending for sure but they’ve played fast and loose in front of goal. A really good team can make a really average goalie look special. There are few and far between that are truly special and carry a team. Hasek is the best example of that but there are more Mike Vernon’s than Dominator’s.

A goalie is as good as the team in front t of them. You have the best team in the league. It’s been a while since Quick had a team like that in front of him

Olofsson needs to go. I see no future for him with the Sabres. Bryson is fine but I moved him to clear a spot for Johnson. Simek is a cap dump who wouldn’t play long before Johnson took his spot. The Sharks are over a barrel with the cap
