Following the 1st round exit vs Boston
Why would the Oilers want Kampf, seems like an expensive 4c we can't afford, pass.

3 Gotta go
I think fair value for Campbell based on buyout cost is a mid round first and second. So the trade doesn't seem far off. Oil most likely buyout Campbell in the summer. One optimistic idea I've heard is Campbell recovers his game (looking decent in the AHL) and the Oil trade him 2M retained for a second in the off-season to a team that can take a gamble to try and recover value. Worst case the new team buys him out after a year at 800k x 4. Not a lot of goalies this summer, so might be appealing. But I don't see the Oilers spending two firsts to dump him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CouldBeKoi</b></div><div>Eberle is likely worth either a 2nd and a B prospect or a first round pick. If Seattle can't get they I highly doubt they move him and rather look to resign him. Ceci is not that good of a defenceman and the Kraken already have Larsson and Borgen. They are not going to trade their first liner, who was their first all-star, for a bad 2nd pair/3rd pair defenceman. The Kraken have shown no difficulty signing veteran defenceman (ie. Larsson, Oleksiak, Schultz, Dumoulin) so if they want a new one in the offseason they will likely have no troubles getting one. Additionally they are looking to bring Evans up long term so they might not even bring in another defenceman. Also if you truly think Ceci is good then why are you trading him away from the oilers when your D-core is obviously fairly weak as well.</div></div>
Schultz Is not doing well this season, Cecil is. Edmonton's D is solid including Cecil (in the 16 game streak they averages less than 2 goals allowed per game) but you can always improve and there is a difference between solid and cup contender. It would be an okay play to keep Eberle or maybe go after Duchene, not sure Dallas will afford him next year. Anyway, your entitled to your opinion, good luck.

Yes Eberle for Ceci is straight up. What is Eberle worth at the TDL, a second? Ceci plays the toughs with the Oilers and has decent stats https://puckiq.com/players/8476879. He would be an upgrade on Shultz who's contract is expiring (not easy to find a good RD and at a good cap hit). Then take the savings and get an upgrade on Eberle in free agency. If Seattle misses next year, you should be able to flip Ceci for a pick too.

Maybe Bouch wants to win in Edmonton but not get roasted alive for taking full value if things don't go perfectly to plan.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>lowblocksniper</b></div><div>Like BigMac said the cap goes up but, when the cap goes up so do contracts and the market and this in 2yrs time
Bouchard is at a PPG right now he's the lowest contract in the top10 D points, I don't see him doing a medium type deal, I think it's much more likely he goes for the 8yr Makar-esque deal
I could be wrong but, unless the Edmonton boys (McDavid, Draisaitl etc) see what's happening in TO and say they want to take slightly more team friendly deals (Maybe Leon agrees to take 12.5 like Connor has now and Connor promises to only takes 250k over Matthews or whoever is the top contract is at that time), Bouchard will definitely take 10+mil</div></div>
Maybe a bit optimistic but I think Bouch takes a bit of a discount on a medium term deal and then reups.

I think Bouch re-ups in 4 years for more, the cap will go up.

I don't like the idea of Parssinen on the 4LW. He should be getting top 6 minutes instead of paying for Domi. Same situation with Glass.</div></div>
Fair, was trying to get a couple of UFAs that would sign here that could be flipped in the next couple of years. There's not a lot out there. Maybe something shakes loose from the cup winner.
