An actual NHL team
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garak</b></div><div>Yeah, maybe. I should have said "Lindholm *SHOULDN'T* get $8M", but I wouldn't be surprised if he does. I just saw AFP Analytics predicts him getting $8.04M x 7 years, which, for a guy who turns 30 in December, that just sounds like trouble to me. I honestly have no clue what KD is gonna do.</div></div>
I'd honestly be willing to overpay him if it's a short-term deal. His 2-way game is very good. I like to think of it as Bedard is playing well with Dickinson but imagine him with Lindholm. Both 2 way players but Lindholm is just significantly better in every category.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garak</b></div><div>Yeah. I was just going to say, Lindholm is NOT getting an $8M aav. That would be ridiculous. He will probably be looking for term, anyway, not a short term overpaid contract.</div></div>
I made the AAV 8.15 to make up for the term. Lindholm is gonna rebound and have a bidding war with Boston. He would be with Pasta or Marchand on that team. I do agree that monahan could be an alternative though.

Great point. I'm wondering if you think the hawks could end up drafting Porter Martone next year?

I guess I did lean it in the hawks favor, but Kakko only has 6pts in 28 games or something like that. Raddysh is only 25 and Johnson has 2 cups and is a good 3c

Except it has worked… Kane and toews year 3. Also that “dump” you mentioned is gonna be one of the top teams in the nhl in a few years for a long time while your fluke team gets bounced in the first round this year and misses the playoffs next year.

no seth Jones and korchinski lineup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Garak</b></div><div>Thoughts on Soderblom: They aren't going to send him down unless he is noticeably drowning. He may not be playing well, right now, but by all accounts, his mental game is solid, he bounces back quickly, lets things roll off him, and his technical skill is also supposed to be very good. He also might be the type that plays better when he is playing more regularly and is the starting guy. If it isn't effecting him mentally, then let him keep getting NHL reps. Most goalies take a couple years of NHL time before they become what they are going to be. We don't need him to be anything more than he is, right now, and I doubt Stauber is the answer. He did play very well in his short stint last season, but he has been awful in the AHL.
Thoughts on Reichel: I am already at the point where I want to send him down. He just isn't effective at all and is playing way too perimeter 5v5, and on the PP he should not be a net front guy. In fact, most of Kurashev's even strength points have come from him tapping in rebounds and tight passes at the net front. Which makes me wonder why Kurashev isn't the netfront guy on the pp, while they let Reichel skate around and do his thing. I haven't seen one successful North/South drive from Riechel this season, when last year most of his production came from those kinds of plays. Makes me wonder if they are just trying to force him to add other things to his game and then unleash him down the road. Either that, or he just lost his game and needs to get it back.
Thoughts on Guttman: Yeah. Agreed. He should be in the top 6 with a couple skilled wingers. Maybe even throw him on Bedards wing for a few shifts and see what happens. He is capable of driving play, but he needs to learn to use his teammates more. Much like Reichel, I feel like he isn't playing his game this season. Which again, makes me wonder if they are trying to stress them working on adding new aspects to their game and then maybe down the road, having them put it all together and unleashing them.</div></div>
This is a common thing and a massive problem for Luke Richardson. Forcing players to be something that they aren't. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. They're telling Colton Dach to be more physical and be a power forward, which is working and he's playing well. However, they're telling Reichel to be a physical and aggressive skilled winger. This just isn't going to happen. On top of that they wanted him to play center. They need to just let these guys play hockey.

Its as obvious as day that those players aren't gonna be established players in EDM. I don't need to be a scout to know that. How many prospects have the Oilers actually drafted and developed since McDavid??? Just Bouchard and that's it and that guy is a massive liability on defense.

Lavoie is one injury away from being an NHL regular. Akey had a dislocated shoulder lol “significantly injury” and he wasn’t going to be part of the picture for atleast 2 years. Broberg isn’t a bust, he is a question mark still with plus size and elite skating that will make him a garanteed NHL defenceman(how good he is will depend on how his offensive development happens in AHL).</div></div>
Non of them are going to be significant contributors. 4th liners and bottom pairing d men at best

You guys just dumped Beauvillier and now you want Vrana??? Also, Murphy is basically Chicago's captain and even though he hasn't been amazing he still holds lots of value off the ice to a young team that desperately needs leadership, especially after the whole Corey Perry incident.

Teams can get greedy all they want and ask for the moon to take on Campbell. Oilers can easilly just say nahhhh. Which is exactly what they are doing.</div></div>
What pipeline??? Bourgault is struggling, Lavoie is 23 and hasn't established yet, Akey is significantly injured, Broberg is a bust and so is holloway. The Oilers window is gonna closed once Drai contract is up unless major moves are made.

I like Dickinson, but his shooting% is going fall down to earth. Mrazek has had some great games this year, but he's just been so hit and miss over the past few years and the Oilers already have a lot of experience with that
Buying Campbell out at the end of this year really isn't that bad and when more teams have more cap room, it's an easier contract to move if they choose to do that.</div></div>
the thing is its not easy to move. its 5 million for another 4 years. also the oilers shouldn't look for more buyouts. And also Mrazek is finally healthy for the first time in years.

yes, it clearly does, They upgrade from Mcleod to Dickinson who is playing amazingly and has 14 pts right now on a terrible Hawks team. Mrazek will end up playing better than Skinner and be the starter. and they gained almost 3.5 million to spend on other pieces for the run. They also gain lots of cap space for the next 4 seasons.
