I'll keep Mailloux if they don't want him. I have other assets to give if needed.

Hertl again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NickC1988</b></div><div>No money next season to re-sign Suzuki, Romanov, and Hertl.</div></div>
It depends on how much they want. I'll have to let Chiarot walk and give 2.5 -3 mill to Hertl almost guarantee. Same time hope that either Harris, Struble or Guhle are ready to play LD. Then cross my fingers that Suzuki is willing to take a 3.5- 4 mill 2 yr bridge. But gotta get rid of Byron in order to pull that off. And probably won't bring back Lehkonen and his 2.3 mill cap hit and give some of that to Romanov. Also if Primeau is ready I could potentially trade Allen to free up some cap. And Alzner's cap retention goes down by 1 million. Gotta do some cap gymnastics but if there's a will there's a way.

It's just an option. I can always put Hertl on RW.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habs_need_Scoring</b></div><div>Suzuki's biggest upside offensively is his vision and playmaking, theres a reason playmakers typically play down the middle, thats where Suzuki will stay and thats where you maximize his potential, plus his defensive awareness is always an asset even as a young centerman, moving him to the wing doesnt add anything just takes away.</div></div>
I think you're underestimating his IQ. I think he can bring on the wing what Gaudreau, Marchand, Panarin, and even Patty Kane and Marner can bring.

If if thats the package its takes to get hertl then he isnt leaving San Jose, they certainly dont want to move him and they shouldnt.</div></div>
What am I limiting him from?? Taking faceoffs? He can still bring on the wing whatever he brings at C.

Pointless AGM</div></div>
I can think of funnier things. Gally's NMC doesn't negate his M-NTC. He picks 6 teams he WON'T accept a trade to.

A) who says EP signs the offersheet?
B) His agent (who is the same as Hughes) would advise him against it. it would literally be taking money from Hughes' deal to pay Pettersson. not a good look and a great way to get fired.
C) VAN matches
D VAN retaliates, Suzuki is up next year and Caufield the year after.... you can bet either or both would get offersheets</div></div>
I'm down for offersheets flying every where. But obviously I'll try to sign them before their contracts expire. Petterson should fire his agent and get a new one lol

It would have to be a 11.5+ for the Canucks to consider not matching</div></div>
It's not guaranteed he'll accept a bridge. He should be asking for Heiskanen type contract right off the bat.

What do you want for Hertl and Burns
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FunMustBeAlways</b></div><div>For Hertl alone, I would ask for something comparable to what Duchene got from CBJ a couple trade deadlines ago which was basically a 1st, a decent prospect and another conditional 1st if Duchene resigned. And then add some because you’d be getting Hertl for a full season. So a 1st + reasonably high end prospect would be the foundation.
Contrary to what people on here think, Burns doesn’t have negative value despite his age. But reasonably I’d only expect late 2nd or 3rd rounder back for him.</div></div>
IMO it's fair. Would SJ prefer prospects instead of picks?

Considering the limited Intel teams have on this yr's draft crop, then it'd be definetly worth moving up for this guy.
