Canucks pass easily. We wouldn’t trade Lekkerimaki for Guentzel, we definitely aren’t for that package

If the Soucy/Graves swap were to be removed, and the retention were to stay, Pittsburgh would want another prospect/pick, presumably.

I'd hang onto Sissons. His value to this team is way more than what anyone would give up for him(I'd start with a 1st).

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hockeynutter</b></div><div>At the same time, Keefe rarely held them accountable.
But under Keefe they team had improved defensively every year until this year. This year the team had the biggest turnover on forward and defense. Kerfoot defensively is missed. Holl not great but could have helped depth wise same as Schenn.
Not all of Treliving as he tried with 1 year contracts but 2 of 3 have failed. Klingberg huge failure but the idea made sense as now with the Reilly injury the biggest area all insiders say will hurt the most is the power play. Aside of Reilly they had no good puck movers.
Second Bertuzzi was praised at the time but despite his advanced stats showing great hockey, he has been extremely unlucky to a point where you question if his previous point totals were lucky to get.
Domi has not been great but at least doing enough worth a similar type of contract but still suspect defensively.
All in all, Tre tried but his pieces work to a C- grade of D for the year and not sure how much Berube can help this year.
Next year though could be much better.</div></div>
That’s completely fair too, I will say it’s just such and offensive team that idk if bringing in a defensive coach is the play

With how many teams are in front of them it’ll only be a matter of time for Seattle. They’d have to rip off a 6-7 game W streak to be back in the thick of it

I've never really liked Zucker as a player but he might be one of the better options for a budget LW right now. Either him or Duclair most likely.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>So you bought out one of the best value contracts on the roster and gift away the team captain to sign a 2C to a deal he's not worth and continue to run a guy that is a first year pro and isn't anywhere near ready for the NHL as a backup? O top of that, you overpay Chatfield, Drury, Jarvis and Necas while underpaying Noesen, Skjei and DeAngelo, don't account for Freddie's return (which is already underway, he's expected to return THIS season, not next) and only run a 20 man roster? Yeah, no</div></div>
Classic. Spends years talking about how good necas and Jarvis are (specifically how they are better than nylander) UNTIL someone pays them

Hoping it's Pod's turn to be the 4th line boost like.Hog has been this year. Pod Aman Laff. But Suter with Garland wasn't great. Maybe Blueger back to with Miki gone.

2025 Canucks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>The_Rocket</b></div><div>yeah i think lindholm will probably get more than 7aav. he has scored 40 in the past. however, his career average is a mid 60's point player. he is going to be 30 in decemeber. he plays more of a ocmplimentary style than a playdriving style.
IMO, not the profil of a player you commit huge dollars or long term to. it reeks of desperation. i think a team like vancouver is better off betting on lower cost players to surround petey and miller.
if they do sign an older player to a huge deal, youd liek that player to be able to carry play on their own and be elite all the time, not only when playing beside other elite players (guentzel maybe)</div></div>
It does somewhat reek of desperation but VAN really wants a quality 2C so the Lotto Line can stay together, plus Lindholm is Swedish and we all know how much of a hardon Alvin has for Swedish players
