What is Mikhayev? Just another body that we don't need for any reason... So, no, more like Dickinson, which you should be pretty familiar with, or Bailey or Mrazek.</div></div>
except unlike all those players, mikheyev is good

like with the beauvillier trade, right?
or the hall trade?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>He was always a scorer but I’m questioning his impact beyond just pts. Sens are where they are because of a lot of empty pts dropped by players</div></div>
his underlying numbers are very good in the SHL but i will be the first to say is off-puck in the d zone his questionable. still a prospect though.
boeser is a scorer but also one of vancouvers best guys down low in the corners
mikheyev obviously is a very defensively sound forward with questionable finish

We could easily beat the Kotkaniemi and Necas offer
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>theleano1</b></div><div>I agree do we know the actual package that was offered? I don't think we do but I could be wrong, that seems really low for me as well, that's a part of the reason I don't think there was actually any serious thought put into it outside of it being a backup plan</div></div>
my guess is necas would have been involved almost for sure. then probably another big cap piece to help offset the cost (maybe orlov or svech or something)
then probably nikishin depending on what the other cap piece was in the trade.

If you want Jack
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>You’re right there’s the other factors such as:
Jack being the face of our franchise.
Jack being one of the most profitable players in the league in terms of generating revenue for his team.
Pettersson potentially not wanting to resign in Vancouver giving them even less leverage and lowering his value significantly.
All of which lean further towards NJD passing.</div></div>
pettersson and vacnouver are currently very close on a deal. he is also the face of the franchise but in a bigger market than jack

If you want Jack
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>Valuations:
Pettersson 16 mill AAV over the next 9 years: Total cost 107.3 million, Total value 144 Million
Demko 10 mill AAV over the next 3 years: 50% retained total cost 7.5 million, total value 30 million
Jack: 16 mill AAV over the next 7 years: total cost 56 million, Total value 112 million
Overall
NJD side: 56 mill in surplus value
Van side: 59.2 mill in surplus value</div></div>
absolutely silly way to look at it. your are basing a decision today on projected values multiple years away.
canucks obviously decline this
