I don't see Beau signing for that long. He's likely to get a 1 or 2 year deal in the 1.5-1.75m range. Also, Wahlstrom will likely start in Bridgeport, but if he does make the team off a REALLY strong camp he's not playing on the first line. RW side in this scenario should be Eberle, Bailey, Wahlstrom and Clutter. I'd also flip Komarov and dal Colle on the left side.

Wilde is worth holding onto. Let him take a few years to develop, odds are this roster will look very different in a couple of years and there might be a spot for him. I agree that Barbashev has value and could be a solid 3C but you can get him for less

I'd also trade for a winger like Frolik or Boedker if they believe MDC should be an extra forward.
Just a couple of minor tweaks and we're set to be a strong team this year.</div></div>
Another year of exceptional goaltending would also be helpful

The defense should stay the same as last year, unless Dobson destroys camp and they have no choice but to keep him in the NHL.
Pelech-Pulock
Leddy-Boychuk
Toews-Mayfield
Hickey
Leddy (and Hickey) are traded next year and Dobson has a regular spot in 2020-21.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Barbs</b></div><div>Another year of exceptional goaltending would also be helpful</div></div>
Yes, but I'm confident Varlamov can be as good as Lehner. Our goalie coaches are the best in the NHL. If Varlamov can play at his .915 average, I think we're in good shape.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pinslack</b></div><div>Due to cap issues, Bjugstad could be moved by Pittsburg. I think NYI could be a good spot for him. A 2nd pick might be the cost.
Strome is an other 3rd center that could be moved by NYR too, but returning to NYI seems less likely.</div></div>
I don't think we'd be interested in Bjugstad when we have a cap crunch next year. Can't pay Bjugstad $4.1M.
Strome would be fun to bring back but yeah, we're not trading with the Rangers.

I would take the chance that Adam Fox is going to play his 30 games for the Rangers and that third-round pick will become a second; so I would give the Oilers Jordan Martinook and the Carolina 2020 second in exchange for Puljujarvi. And I would expect to get criticism from half the Hurricane fan base until JP recaptured his mesh with Laine and Aho.

Laine scores 50 goals and Aho racks up 90 points and a year from now, you won't miss either one; two years from now, you won't remember which Svechnikov you had.

I would not give up Dougie on top of Svech, Laine is way to inconsistent, I would not be surprised at all if Svech turns out to be the better player in two ish years, and necas for Pulju is an insane overpayment, I'd give up like a third round pick lol

You don't you take out Necas you add McGinn and add a 3rd to the Carolina side. Necas is an ELITE prospect, top 6 upside, Pool party has shown F88k all in terms of his talent level

Laine who scored 20 goals this year is gonna score 50 while a rookie who hit 20 I won't remember? Get your head checked. Andrei Svechnikov has more value right now than Laine. Laine can go f*ck himself

I love yanking your chain. It's almost as much fun, and almost as easy, as yanking my own.
But I really do think that if Laine was playing with Aho and Teravainen, he'd hit 50.
