U were right
BUT
the situation changed
Mitts turned down Sabres contract offers & priced himself out of Buffalo, so we re-evaluated
Idk how the Avs are gonna fit Mitts next year though
They’ve got their work cut out for themselves w the Cap

I can't imagine Army going for that. I think he could do better if Buch was UFA, to be honest.

Tarasenko
Sens decline. They won’t trade Joseph, he’s played great and is well worth his 2.95m cap hit. Also Broberg doesn’t make sense for us, he’s basically Branny 2.0, no need for it. And keep Ceci far away lol been there done that. I would do Tarasenko for the 1st though or a 2nd and a roster player ( Foegele?) for cap if needed

Yes you made it rather obvious you don’t know what his value is. Did not need to tell us.
If you took out the 1st and Grizz, much closer. Then take out Evans, 5th, Lauko…you nailed it.

Gotta think Bjugstad costs more than just a second: Edmonton paid that and a prospect for him as a rental. Term begets a larger return.

I think Roy is a perfect fit, Brodie, Samsonov and McMann have been awesome recently and Kubalik is a big body, physical presence who still has potential. Kapenen is just for nostalgia in this scenario. I could get rid of Domi but we could get him cheap the way he has been playing and then he has a breakout year</div></div>
My apologies for not being clear. My comment came from Chicago's POV. We can find a RD in free agency and keep the pick. If not, Chicago can re-sign Megna to play his off-side.

Don't know what the Sabres plan is with Jokiharju tbh. Possibly could be bought, if the Sabres have a better option for RD coming in

He might have a better chance of that by returning to the Flames. Leafs will be out in the 1st round again.

Players that would be nhl caliber without injuries
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Timmins_Is_Eating_Tims</b></div><div>Brendan Gallagher is currently a player for the Montreal Canadiens but he hasn't been his former self due to an injury. Brendan Gallagher is one of the most liked players in Montreal Canadiens history. He is a short but feisty winger which is why everybody likes him. He started off his career by being a consistent 40-50 point scorer. He maintained this production for 9 years in the NHL until mid way through the 2020-21 season where he took a 100 mile per hour shot to the hand. Luckily he came back in time for the playoffs. He wasn't the same and you can tell. During the season he was on pace to have 54 points until the injury. During the playoffs he only had 6 points in 22 games. The next season wasn't any better as he only had 24 points in 56 games. He would have only had 35 points if he played the whole season. Everybody had hope that he would turn it around and he didn't. He missed 2/3 of the season and only would have had 31 points if he played the whole season. This season he has been worse. He is on pace to play the whole season but he hasn't been good. He only has 16 points in 48 games. That means he is on a 28 point pace. His contract does not end until 2027 but the way his career is going right now, it looks like Montreal might even buyout his contract. Gallagher was one of my favourite players growing up and it is horrible to see what has happened to him</div></div>
Gallagher was a fav of my for the Canadians. Sad to see how his career has gone downhill😔 keep up the good work loving the thread

Even with Weber on the IR. Arizona still has 10m in cap space. AND A 25 man roster. If there prospects turn out, could be a scary team.

HOF WORTHY PLAYERS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Timmins_Is_Eating_Tims</b></div><div>Except he has won a Hart trophy and an art ross. Gartner actually won nothing sadly. I wasn't alive for Gartner I don't really know how good he is.</div></div>
Those are individual awards. Not team accomplishments. He was a part of some pretty good Sharks teams and never won a Cup. Thornton was a superstar. Just a regular season one.
Gartner was a fast skater with great scoring hands. He stayed healthy and was very consistent for a long time. Scored over 700 goals.
But no one would ever call him a superstar. He was a star who even as he aged never lost his elite speed.
He was playing for the eventual Cup winning 93-94 Rangers but was traded to Toronto for Glenn Anderson before the trade deadline.
Gartner never won a Cup either.

Joe is the modern day Mike Gartner. He never won anything but his stats give you no choice but to put him in the hall of fame.
