Crunching The Cap
Durzi was a nice surprise but I doubt he is a long term King.
If Faber goes pro this year and Clarke keeps producing at his insane pace …
Durzi might get his QO and then get bundled in a trade

Yep. We need size back there and he is likely an upgrade over MacDermid. Plus we gotta expose someone for the Seattle draft ;)

He was the second highest goal scorer after Kopi. One of the kids gotta take that from him. Hoping it’s Vilardi and Frk.

Teams will take him for the $2M actual salary. He can still pot 20+ goals from the RW.

True, but then we wait a few-three years for all them kids to grow up and Kopitar to retire...

Feature Request: Subscription Ad Free version.
It’s high time to offer this service model.
I would be delighted to subscribe to CF and support you guys directly instead of having annoying adds flashing and eating bandwidth and screen real estate on my phone.
Maybe something simple and affordable like The Athletic.
At least maybe a poll to see what kind of support this would have.

Feature Request:
Running total sum of league contracts for the current season compared to salary cap midpoint sum total.
This would allow for quick estimate of what escrow would look like.
Expanded Version: A dedicated page that breaks out LTIR impacts, insurance of LTIR contracts, salary paid vs cap hit vs cap mid point, bonuses and impact on escrow.
Stretch Goals: Link all the algorithms to update daily based on real-time data on LTIR, Bonuses, recalls/reassignments etc.

Kupari, JAD, Durzi, Anderson, Clague, etc
All need to spend some time in the AHL.
Call-ups for sure

Phaneuf has a good chance of getting bought out.
Chucky has a strange contract where he gets paid July1 his $5.7M bonus then earns minimum wage ... He has retired from the NHL before ...
Either way, can’t bank on either so they are in the roster. :(

For sure, any number of prospect-type guys can go up/down. Walker, LaDue, Durzi might impress ...
Same for forwards, but since they are all ELC and similar $$ it doesn’t really matter if Luff or JAD are up there from a CAP perspective.

Well, the way the Kings have full command of being in last place ... it wouldn’t be the 2019 1st round pick for sure. ;)

Good info. Makes sense.
Problem I see with that ask; Players contract done at end of the season anyway so real easy for GMs to wait and see.
Tough to make hockey trades these days.

maybe after torts is done bringing more hate into the league he'll take that big russian winger he looks like he can fight :tearsofjoy</div></div>
What do you think it would take? A 20 and 30 goal guy (when on a good team) two top-6 forwards for one and both on budget contracts with term. ‘Lumbus is not a Cap team.

*edit* Blake was willing to give up more than that for Patches. He's definitely got the nerve to do this.</div></div>
Toffoli and Pearson add up to over $8M so there is room under the cap now and for a signing next year.
Granted Doughty gets $4M more but cap goes up and I wager one of Martinez or Muzzin is traded by the draft.

Tried Carter, tried Kopitar - no chemistry.
Seems to be clicking with the speedy Kempe.
Also, very high hopes for Vilardi.
Three scoring threat lines are attractive these days.

Return on trades was just to drop contract and get accurate cap number. But I get everyone’s comments. Yeah, just lazy with the interface on the iPhone.
