No problem with the crap, it was a joke, I find it amusing that people speak like they are part of the decision process. At the end of the day, non of us really know but some defend their positions like they have influence, which they don’t.

It’s like you are part of the inner circle with the GM, would recommend you don’t speak in absolutes and not use words like ‘we’, there is no ‘we’ unless you have some influence on the GM.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>Part of the reason the Canucks want to move Boeser is to clear cap space. Trading him for an overpaid 3rd liner isn’t a great move
The Garland trade is awful. Yes he’s struggled this year, but he’s also shown to be a very productive 5v5 player before this season and has a more than reasonable cap hit. He’s someone the Canucks should keep, not sell for scraps</div></div>
He’s playing 3rd / 4th line mins for $4.9m, I think you are massively overrating him. He seems like a bad locker room guy as well, I get the feeling he’s not well liked

He has 5 points in 26 games this year, I think you are massively overestimating him. He’s 22, not 19, I see him as an overpaid 3C with some upside potential. This trade also assumes the Canes sign him, which is what the second round pick is compensation for. Canes also have a very good shot to win the Cup with this upgrade from KK to Bo

If you read my notes above it talks about the framework for a deal that isn’t team specific, obviously CLB isn’t giving up a potential lottery pick

It’s not the specific team here, it’s the framework on what I think Van should be trying to get back. Can take back money on all these deals as long as they expire this year

So frustrating to think where this team could be if OEL/Garland trade never happened and Pearson was traded at the deadline vs signing a new deal

I would let go of Pearson for anything tbh, more concerned about the cap space.
I’ve been trying to figure out what team would value Myers and looking for a comparable contract to take back that doesn’t go past this year

I read today that CLB is trying to bolster their Right side D and that Van believes he has value, he’s also much better than people think.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>spockrock</b></div><div>What’s the point of discussing a trade from a CAR point of view that will never happen?</div></div>
The point is this is exactly why people use this site, to suggest trade ideas, 98% of them won’t happen. It’s suppose to be fun, my guess is you are concerned about suggesting a trade for Miller because you would get roasted and would rather crap on others.

The Canes won’t use Necas (or a 1st, etc.) for what would essentially be a rental. They wouldn’t trade him for 5yrs of Eichel for goodness’ sake.
The question was what you think a fair trade would be, regardless of your opinion on whether they should trade for him.
Not sure why that still needs to be explained</div></div>

Good point, felt Mik $ was a little high, there’s cap room to add another $1m to Forsberg.

A see a team reaching to get him that needs to be better next year, picked CLB because Van really needs a to RHD in the pipeline.
