They would be getting rid of salary. Freddie is only owed 1 million next season, its his cap hit that is 5 million so Kuemper costs more in real money which is what Arizona are trying to save

wow lots of action on this agm. Just for the record i made this to show that they could fit Pietrangelo under the cap... i dont necessarily want this to happen. i have no clue what will happen but i love how people jump in right away and say this team would never do that etc. I bet if there was an agm made prior to the Kapanen pittsburgh trade pens fans would say "pittsburgh declines'' etc.

hahaha i love when people get worked up over this stuff. I'm aware these trades might not be fair. This site is for fun!!! The same people that are worked up about this page are the ones that laughed when people predicted the kadri trade saying "leafs fans over value kadri, Barrie is worth way more blah blah blah'' Shut up not all trades are ''fair'' in everyones opinion. If a team needs a middle six winger and have an abundance of defense maybe they make a trade even if the value is considered fair. If this site was accurate no trades would ever happen again

its the fact that $3.2m or $3.4m is coming off the books that makes it good value. Kapanen's deal expires in 3 years. At that point Nylander and Marner will still be under contract and better then him. He's a third liner on this team. He is expendable, if thats what it takes to get a backup you can start with confidence then they should do it.
